Well, I hit 3 banks today. BMO, RBC and TD and none of them had the new $10 notes or the armistice toonies. I must be getting old. When I was younger I would just go to more and more banks until I could get it. Now 3 is the max. Anyway if anyone in Mississauga has any luck, please let me know. Thanks!

Hey all, I've got two of the "150TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ROYAL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY OF CANADA – METEORITE – 2018 $20 1 OZ FINE SILVER COIN – ROYAL CANADIAN MINT" coins that I'm looking to get rid of: https://thecoinshoppe.ca/product/150th- ... dian-mint/

Let me know if anyone's interested. TCS last sold them for $225, I'm willing to do $350 for both, can ship with EMT payment.

Thanks.

I remember when there were 25 posts a day to this thread.

There were 3 or 4 posters here who opened their own online coin stores.

That guy from Alberta (elkslayer?) bought 5 of everything to flip.

Lonesome Dove still giving out good advice I see.

Nothing flippable in the US either for the last 3 years.

Very few dealers on the PCGS website refute the coin market is in the toilet.

hehe I do miss that time too. Releases were crazy and collectors where there. Around 2011-2012... I was one of the few who opened an online store: ThePIT Coins & Collectibles.
It was going pretty well actually. After a few months I had a regular customers and sold a lot of coins, from all price ranges. I was going to build this up and get all future coins releases, circulation and all. The idea was also to sell other collectibles, mostly Magic: The Gathering cards and a few other items. But... life plans changed, I ended up quitting and selling everything I had here to go and travel all around the world, been out there for more than three years, my stock was in part robbed (I got them out of my safety box at the bank for like two weeks to store them in another one, cheaper for more long-term, and got robbed at that time! arrggg :S) Anyway, that was a hell of a good ride then! Lot of fun!
Most of you guys are still here from time to time actually.

A lot of exciting times... with releases from all over the world!

I just noticed CIBC is having a Cyber Monday discount of up to 25% on some of the collector coins they sell on their website. Sale ends today (27th).
Example the 18-karat Gold Coin - Year of the Pig - Mintage: 1,500 (2019) on RCM site is $828.88, but on CIBC it is $754.55.
I don't think I can post a link here, but if you use a referral link, you would save an additional $25 off your next purchase.

Interesting that Colonial Acres has raised the price of all colour "Armistice Original" rolls to $94.95. Limit of 2 per customer.

https://www.colonialacres.com/product-p ... colour.htm

Still available at Gatewest for $74.95, and Imaginaire for $79.99. Limit of 10 at each store.
I grabbed 20 between imaginaire and Gatewest
