That's a beautiful coin, not sure I want to pick it up even at this discounted price though.
I was going to buy it, but decided to read some reviews on the mint's site first. Was surprised that a few buyers had problems with the bee detaching from the coin. One person commented that his bee became unglued after two months. It's a beautiful coin, but too risky.

The first coin, the butterfly, has fewer complaints, and has actually appreciated a bit on eBay.

Interesting that currently, most of RCM’s coins depreciated for sure,

Meanwhile, many of Mint Of Poland’s coins appreciated.
Poseidon Coin is creeping up in price every month. Two sold yesterday for CDN$1,188.61 plus shipping, and CDN$1,163.32 plus shipping.

Now we know how to get most of our coins for 1/2 price or less:

1) RCM: wait patiently for the drop

2) Mint of Poland: buy immediately upon release before it doubles or quadruples

lol

It is pretty interesting, the Mint of Poland aka Mennica Polska (MP) re: (Niue, 2oz, Rimless UHR, antiqued, Mintage:500, diameter 45mm or 50mm).

I thought I'd sit down and track most of what we've got so far because it seems there's been a lot of 1st in series.

1st in Series
2016 Trojan Horse (Struck by MP for Magikos Coins)... Ancient Myths Series ($1000-$1100 CAD sold listings)
2017 Ares (MP & Numiartis)...Gods of War Series ($2300+CAD but people now asking $4000-5000 ?!?)
2017 Zeus (MP)....Gods of Olympus Series (not doing particularly well $190-250CAD)
2017 Spartacus (MP) ...Great Commanders Series ($219-400 CAD sold listings)
2018 Nemean Lion (MP)....Twelve Labours of Hercules Series ($350-500 CAD sold listings)
2018 White Horse (MP)....Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse Series ($680-750 CAD sold listings)
2018 Cronus (MP)...Greek Titans Series ($495-700 CAD sold listings)
2018 Chinese Dragon Red Coral (MP & Numiartis)....Dragons Series (soldout at TCS and Powercoin it seems?!?)
2019 Athena and Minerva (MP)...Goddesses Series (also seems soldout at TCS and PowerCoin)

2nd in Series
2017 Minotaur (Struck by MP for Magicos Coins)... Ancient Myths series (follows Trojan Horse) ($230-320CAD sold listings)
2018 Poseidon (MP & NumiArtis)... Gods of War Series (follows Ares) ($1000+ CAD sold listings)
2018 Hades (MP)...Gods of Olympus Series (follows Zeus) ($196-220CAD sold listings)

Interesting........keeping my eye on NumiArtis ;) and also dropping everything to try and get the 3rd in God of War Series.......lol

Thanks for the comprehensive list, SimuN22. God of War Series is top on my list, too. Also, looking forward to subsequent Four Horsemen coins.

In case anyone is unaware of the new law they snuck in on Novermber 9, 2018:

"Non-Mailable Matter" in Canada. This is from canadapost.ca Section 5.2 "Other Miscellaneous Prohibited Items:"

Effective November 9, 2018 it is illegal to mail:

gold bullion, gold dust and non-manufactured precious metals unless mailed under an Agreement between Canada Post and the mailer

Here's the link: https://www.canadapost.ca/tools/pg/manu ... sp#1420225

Directly from the CanadaPost.ca website Part 11, Section 43, Sub-Section 60(a) is the Punishment for violating the rules:

60 Every person who contravenes any provision of this Act or the regulations or who commits an offence under any of sections 48 to 59

(a) is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years; or

(b) is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.

Logically...yes. I consider them to be manufactured, but that's probably what I'll be yelling as they're dragging me off to jail.

What would be the logic behind prohibiting the mailing of bullion etc.?

I think if RCM is still going to use CP then it's okay - who knows how hard it is to get that "agreement".

Quick question... best way to sell off coins would be ebay?
Kijiji, Facebook, even here. What do you have to sell?

So far, I see no mention of prohibition of precious metal "collectibles" at the Canada Post site, just non-manufactured bullion.

I can't find any mention of prohibition of sending precious metal collectibles within Canada at either DHL or Fedex sites.

Can anyone find confirmation in writing?

On Ebay you're looking at a loss of say 10-13% (I haven't sold on there in a while) right out of the gate, plus having to ship and additional risk. Post what you are looking to sell here and you might find some takers at a mutually agreeable price.
