i have already registered, and it seems most of my team members are backing out this year, but no matter what i'm riding. If you or anyone else would like to join my team, please pm me and i can send you the link and we can all ride together, if i get enough interest, i'll see if i can change the team name to reflect RFD

I've always wanted to go down the slopes on the DVP.. not looking forward to climbing them =P
Too bad every year I work on Sundays and won't be able to call it off. Only reason I got a road bike
kidding.

Has anybody done it before that can comment on the climb? Is it brutal?

Well if you've driven on the DVP... to the 401. You should have noticed the big dip from the interchange at Eglinton to York mills? Or something. That hill is the hardest as it is the 'longest' and the steepest. Other than that it should be alright.
Mind you, only the 50 Km and the 75 Km do these sections I believe, might be wrong.

i did it last year with a mountain bike, 50k, took like 3 hours, the initial is hard, but once you get it going, the adrenaline will keep you going, and its really easy on the way back because of mostly downhill, also there is few rest stops, water and fruits served, and when you get back, there's lunch also

i'm still kind of new to Markham myself, in terms of actual MTB trails, there is York Regional forest, that would be the closest and its a good trail for beginners. I mainly ride around the neighbourhoods near where i live and I like to explore the surrounding areas. Unfortunately I won't be able to ride this Saturday because spending time with my mom for mother's day, Sunday will be spent with my mother in law, previously i thought i would be able to spend time with both on Sunday, sorry guys.

Just went for a ride to UTSC. Man was it painful being the first ride on my roadie.
Not to mention I strained my back just 5 days ago and still aching over that. Not smart.
But weather was good but windy and man headwind still sucks as always.
