Been lucky with this SUV so far, other than the usual changes (timing belt, brakes, etc etc), haven't had any major problems.
Will probably drive it another year if I don't run into any major issues.

I personally think they're pretty weak compared to all the McPherson strut setups i've seen. ie. the LBJ's on the corolla were still solid after 360k. My 98 civic at the time, they crapped out @ 200k/15yrs....you just wiggle the tire to check for play or if you feel steering is loose, it could be the ball joints.

How do you wiggle the tire, by quickly steering clockwise and then counter-clockwise and v.v.?waitin4BOOST wrote: ↑Sep 21st, 2017 11:09 amI personally think they're pretty weak compared to all the McPherson strut setups i've seen. ie. the LBJ's on the corolla were still solid after 360k. If you ever see cars over on the side of the road with their tire wedged up the fender or folded in, chances are their LBJ came loose lol

Have you hit 400k yet?UrbanPoet wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2012 11:49 amAnyone have a car with more then 300,000 km?
I want to hear your stories.
What type of car do you have?
How do you maintain your car?
What type of driving do you do?
2001 Lexus IS300
I get sythetic blend oil changes every 6000km.
@ 300,000km I changed the timing belt & water pump. I also changed fluids where all possible fluids could be change... This is a pre-emptive measure I've taken to assist me in my goal of 400!
I'm currently at 330,000km. My goal is to break the 400 mark... and maybe get into the 500s.
@ my current rate its going to take me 4 years to hit 400.
I do mostly city driving. But my mileage builds up from road trips...

My partner crashed it @ 415,000km... it had enough juice in it to hit 500. So thats unfortunate.
