Second part of your post ties into the first for me.Dutchycup wrote: ↑Apr 19th, 2017 11:42 pmI was talking to a dealer the other day who suggested I people should have 65 percent silver and 35 percent gold. Any thoughts? I mean, I like collecting silver and its fun, but gold is so much easier to store.
Which brings me to my next question. You know how people talk about the whole 16/1 ratio of gold to silver thing. Is this a real thing. Is it really going to go back to a 16/1 ratio?
I don't believe in a strict percentage like 65/35 or anything like that, but I do believe that if you are looking to purchase as a store of value, it makes sense to accumulate what is cheaper relative to the other (and maybe at times swap some). I don't think we will be seeing 16/1 in my lifetime, but it wasn't too long ago that it was closer to 50/1. Big difference from where we are now at about 70/1. Even 50/1 would put us back to $25.6 USD for Silver.
