Monster box of 500 1oz rounds vs monster box of 50 10oz bars.

What are the advantages and disadvantages?

Would they sell for the same price at a coin shop?

That would depend on the type of round vs bar. For example, an RCM 10 oz bar would cost more to buy, then you would get more when you sell it. If you are getting rounds, go with a buffalo round. What specific bar and round are you thinking of?

I'm using Silvergoldbull as an example but usually 10oz bars get better pricing then 1oz coins if they are the same brand.

If you buy 500 RCM Maples will cost you $12,435, If you buy 50 RCM 10 oz bars, it will cost you $11,678 at this time.

The benefit of 1 oz coins vs bars is size of course. 10 oz bars, you will only be able to sell in 10 oz increments. Also the coins are legal tender and have $5 face value so the lowest it will ever be worth is $5.

I'm thinking of RCM bars/coins due to their good security features leading to an easier time selling?

I'm not too too concern about having to sell in 10 oz increments... If they sell for approx the same, then saving $600 per 500oz seems tempting!

Very interesting to see what exactly happened and where.
I wonder if we'll ever get the truth.

The serial number was shown, right? Anyone else checking to see if they have the same serial number?

Yup. Mine is different. Just did the magnet test, too.

Seems to be ok. Bought from SGB.
