Opposite
I think it is the opposite, he is trying to bring attention to himself by provoking other members and creating controversy.

The best thing to do is ignore him and leave it up to the mods. They can read his posts and realize that he is an idiot just trolling the boards because he is bored.

Nov 19th, 2004 10:42 PM #34What kind of attitude is this - he has the right to try to sell stolen or fake goods? What world do you live in where this is acceptable? Remind me to never buy anything from you.

Rights
Unless you have proof, you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. It is only fair.

My post should have read.
Regardless. The member has a right to post his sale. Doesn't matter if the items are fake or stolen. Unless you have proof, you should give him the benefit of the doubt.
You don't have to buy his items if you have any doubts. But you should not thread crap and start rumors that may ruin a persons reputation.

Moscoe urges TTC riders to 'squeal' on cheats
Police announce major bust
Fraud costs system $7M a year
Police and officials from the Toronto Transit Commission announced this morning that they have made three arrests and broken up a counterfeit token ring in an East York home that was costing the TTC $400,000 a year.
The allegations are just charges and have not been proven in a court of law.
TTC chairman Howard Moscoe called the arrests "a moment of pride," but said that these arrests won't end the counterfeiting.
Last July, the TTC announced a major bust of ticket counterfeiting ring.
TTC general manager Rick Ducharme said today that more than 450 criminal and provincial charges have being laid into alleged fraud-related activities.
Moscoe said "it's going to happen again and again, but we're getting better at catching them."
He said the help of the public is crucial in busting fraudulent operations that cost the TTC about $7 million a year.
"I urge people to squeal on people," Moscoe said, adding that people can report crimes to Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
He said fraud costs all TTC riders and could result in higher fares.
Police say the TTC became aware of counterfeit tickets being circulated as early as 2001.
Using surveillance, police say they uncovered counterfeit tokens, tools, equipment and raw materials in making the arrests Nov. 19. Also confiscated was a self-made plaque commemorating the illegal minting of their 400,000th counterfeit token.
The three suspects have been identified as Domenic Bevilacqua, 59, Lou Bevilacqua, 54, and Enzo Bevilacqua, 48.
They are charged with three counts of the manufacture of slugs/tokens, three counts of fraud over $5,000 and four counts of the possession of slugs/tokens._______________

Dec 4th, 2004 03:28 PM #38I would have just reported this to crime stoppers, posted a single message in the thread saying it's probably not legit, and left it at that.
