Calderon makes more than Mo and Barbosa has a fairly big expiring contract. The Clippers signed K-Mart and may sign J.R. Smith; they have no cap space for such a trade.

Even if they then flip Barbosa somewhere, they still have Forbes who might as well play.

Lakers need playmaker at PG. Hooking up Calderon with Pau could help them make a run.
