sometimes we've gotta win to stay respectable..from both players, fans, TV, etc.

prior to the playoffs run, the raptors were a joke, no one talked about it, no one knows about them and no free agent wants to come here unless money talked

now? you hear casual fans talking about the raptors, you see kids on the street enjoying basketball a lot more.. if could be because of GSW or Lebron, but overall, most people like the Raptors now.
and with Masai at the helm, he has already told everyone that he's giving the current core 3 more years, if it doesnt go too far or even falling off of the playoffs, they would all be trading on year 3 or prior while maintaining our flexibility in the cap space.

Idk why people even bother to hope Lebron goes down... its hard to believe but hes NEVER gone down with a serious injury before or one that I can think of. Even when he has been injured.. its never for an extended period of time. The guy takes care of his body and takes his recovery very serious. Explains why hes been able to stay healthy all the time.

EDIT - lol, ok read the article and watched the video - they did top 15 players by win shares......lol still funny at first glance...
The article doesn't even have Andrew Wiggins up there for West reserve in a B team, but has someone like Steven Adams?! Fail!

You can take care of your body but you can't predict when/if you step on a foot coming down or if you go for a layup and someone upends you and you hurt your back or arm or shoulder etc. So far, he's been relatively lucky

^^ that ESPN article for the West vs. East is kind of crap imo... i am not a big Derozan fan by any means... but the guy averaged 27.5ppg 5 rpg, 4 apg, 1spg on 47% FG last season and made the All NBA Third Team... and is not on their East All Star Team? so stupid.... lets look at PER and Win Share

DDR - 24 and 9

LBJ - 27 and 13
Lowry - 23 and 10 Forward starter
Wall - 23.2 and 8.8
Giannis - 26 and 12.4 Forward starter
Love - 21.1 and 6.4 Forward starter

Hayward - 22.2 and 10.4
Porzingis - 17.4 and 4.5
Irving - 23.0 and 8.9
Walker - 21.3 and 8.1
Horford - 17.7 and 6.3
Whiteside - 22.6 and 9.5
Thomas - 26.5 and 12.5

For the reserves, position doesnt matter. They are saying that Kemba, Horford and Porzingis should make it over Derozan? Terrible

Thats true. Then you have Rose who gets like a freak injury.

I dont even think he suffers from back spasms. The worst he had was a cramp.

I think its a mixed of a well maintained body and real good luck. Lebron is durable as hell.

durant was willingly to take a pay cut to keep the core group together... I guess lowry is not going to do that since patterson and tucker left

At first it was 81m ... now 100m

KD took a paycut and Lowry got overpayed.

Its amazing how the team thats competitive have players taking paycuts and the ones that arent are paying people too much.
