Rajon Rondo signs a one year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans. People will complain all they want about Raptors being a treadmill team, but with all this talent in the West, I'm happy we're going to make the 2018 playoffs while simultaneously having a bunch of young players to develop. As long as Casey doesn't play our stars when we blow out an opponent, our young guys should get some playing time and a chance to develop as well.
The biggest thing is not having Lowry be Top 2 in minutes per game. There were times where the game should have been in the bag, and then he brings Lowry back onto the floor because the other team made a run and got it close. Let it be a learning experience for the other guys earlier in the season in situations like that.

The harsh truth about JV

http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/news/nb ... um=twitter
“He is talented and he still is young. But he is pretty much the same player he was three years ago. So what his national team coach said about him, about dedication, that sticks out. I think that hung over their ability to trade him these last few months.”
That's from a rival GM
“He has to dedicate himself to basketball more,” Kemzura said. He was also asked why Valanciunas was struggling, and said, “You’ll have to ask Valanciunas.”
The current Lithuanian coach

Five years in the league and he really hasn't improved on anything. But, let's give him more touches so he can do more of his running hook shot

Oh no. You're going to have "someone" come in and get all started on his, "he doesn't improve, because he's not getting an opportunity to touch the ball..yada yada yada..." rant.

You know, because basketball is clearly not a sport in which people can work on their own skills outside of game action. Much too hard to pick up a basketball and work on different shots and dribbling, without an opponent. Much too hard to go seek a few sessions with professional skills trainers, including former NBA players. It's game action or no improvement.

Here, allow me to do the honours:

I hope JV gets traded soon to a team where he can show his true talent. Damn that bastard Casey for holding back this basketball god. Oh, and DeRozan sucks, Lowry stinks, and this team is going nowhere and will never win anything.

Does that about cover it?

When you're writing stuff like that, you need to put [Maximdude] and [/Maximdude] at the beginning and end so that people don't think you're the crazy one

- Footwork coach with Hakeem
- Kazlauskas
- Kemzura
- Dwane Casey

It's all their fault for ruining JV's development. Give the man his touches and he will dominate

Put JV with the warriors and he will be a champ and should be the 2nd option.

You need a good coach like kerr and unselfish players around JV. Maybe if Demar/Lowry could play more like KD/Curry, JV's true self will show up. Could even be finals MVP. He just need a chance to shine.

26+ PPG
49% FG
15 RPG

Easy.

He can't defend and move like Draymond Green under that system. Nor can he shoot the 3-pointer, although, something that he can work on in his own time. However, given how he doesn't work on anything else in his own time, I doubt that will happen anytime soon. He's not dirty like Pachulia and Green, so not really bringing added value.

Finally, 2nd option? Over who? KD or Steph? Lol.

We need a guy like Pachulia on the Raptors to give us an edge. Someone that will mix it up down there.
