Didn't he play Ross as a rookie?!?!? Bruno is 19 and Wright is 23 leading a good college program. Huge difference. I don't see Bruno playing at all unless there's an injury. He'll take a rotation spot next year with James Johnson expiring.
We were developing Alan Anderson in Ross rookie year

Still he played 17 mpg. I'm thinking Wright will get 14 mpg and if effective could end up around 16mpg.

What about Lin for the min? 2 years with a 2nd year player option like Ed Davis?

PG Lowry - Lin - Wright
SG Derozan - Ross - Wright
SF Carroll - Ross - Daniels
PF Patterson - JJohnson - Caboclo
C Valaciunas - Biyombo

What about just keeping Luke Ridnour? Decline his team option but ask him to stay on for the vet min?

Why do I feel like the Raptors will be worse next year than this past year.

Because you're a pessimist and Miami is healthy with a full season of Dragic and McRoberts. The East may have all 8 playoff teams above .500 too.

Though I feel that Atlanta is now worse than them. Chicago isn't getting better. Washington lost Pierce but added Dudley. Otto Porter will start at SF but their bench is weak. Miwaukee is much improved but may not be better than the Raptors.

The Raptors will still be a top 4 team record-wise and can't do worse than a 1st round sweep, so just pray for good health. :D

14 mpg is basically nothing for a back up PG. Lowry can only play so much.

If they dont sign a competent back up, it will worse for the team.

Lin is alright.

Because in losing Amir, Lou and Greivis they have lost 32 points per game, brought back 14 in Demarre and maybe 5 in Wright so far. Byiombo is a net minus offensively unless he is set up perfectly for a dunk, and that's assuming he can catch the ball which is by no means something to be expected with him. They will have to defend the point differential out of teams or lose.

Amir will be sorely missed. Yes, I don't think we would have put down 12m/yr on him. Not sure if Patterson can handle 30+ mins at the 4.

I had a gut feeling Lou was going to leave.

We're not getting Lin. He's most likely going to the Sixers or the Mavs.

So raps cant secure Lou's 7 million a year deal?. WOW.

Lowry / Wright
DeRozan / Ross / Powell
Carroll / Johnson / Bruno
Patterson /
Valanciunas / Biyombo / BeBe

This is bad.

Small ball so that means JV will obviously be underutilized once again.

Rookie back up PG.

We lost Amir's ppg/veteran presence and Lou's scoring capabilities. Our back up C/PF(probably end up starting. lmao) is good defensively but have zero offense. The only offense we really have is Lowry and DD?.

Carroll's overpaid contract. :facepalm:

Im starting to believe Ujiri doesnt know wtf he is doing.

No free pizza this year!!!! Going to be to much reliance on Kyle and Derozan for scoring, I can see Kyle burning out again late in the season. Let's hope Masai still has a trick or two up his sleeves.

What trick?

No one wants to play for Toronto. Not after this year's epic collapse.

What the fffffff is going on here??????

I'm cool with keeping Carroll even with his overpaid contract. Keep JV because he has potential to be a top 5 center. We need to get rid of Casey and hire Tom Thibs.

Get rid of DeRozan and Lowry, too. We don't need them. We will never win with those two holding down the back court. We need to find ourselves a SOLID point guard and pay him everything we've got. Today's NBA is all about having a solid play-making, high scoring point-guard.

Since no superstar will ever want to play for the Raptors we need to find a strong veteran player to show our boys how to WIN

Not an all-NBA dream team but a highly achievable Raptors semi-dream team

SF = Carroll
C = Valanciunas
SG = Derozan
PG = Lowry
PF = Taj Gibson
Coach = Tom Thibs

^ those two additions would make our team SOLID
