Rims question
I know its probably not the right time of season to be talking about custom wheels, but since they are off i may as well ask.
I got 20's on my car during the summer. They look awesome except my type of rim is American Racing, so there are gaps in between (its not a full plate of chrome). So you can see the wheel axel and all that in the light, and it dosent look that great. Are there things you can buy that you put behind the rim thats all black so it covers this up? Im not sure if thats clear enough. I was thinking of painting the axels but thought that would be a hassel.

As I understand your post, you do not like what you are seeing between the spokes of your rims so you want to put some kind of tin shield between the wheel and the axle to hide the brakes etc? Strange, why buy such wheels if you did not want to see what is behind them?

Isn't one of the ideas with these huge rims is that you'd have larger disc brakes and large monoblock calipers installed? I hate it when people install huge rims and you see tiny disc brakes up front and tiny drum brakes in the rear!

Anything over 18", it's no longer for performance, but for looks.. and you suffer for running such large rims. Most if not ALL, BBK's will clear with 18" rims.
Get a sexy BBK kit like brembo.. or endless.. or stoptech and the gaps will be good cuz u can showoff ur brakes lol_______________

I am pretty sure his car does not sit on stock 20's unless he has a really, really large vehicle, or he has a huge aftermarket brake kit on it. G35s even with Brembos can be downgraded to 17s... Judging by the rim selection; I don't think it is one of the things I mentioned; the OP just probably wanted larger rims.
To the OP; do you have any picture of how it currently looks?Last edited by Asad_A203; Dec 10th, 2007 at 08:52 PM.

If your brakes/suspension parts are rusty and look bad the best thing you can do is by flat black tremclad paint and give it a few coats to freshen up the look.
