Just get a roammobility sim card

2.95 for text
3.95 for text and calling

per day
Check out the Roam Monthly plan. After 2 weeks, it works out to be lower that the $3.95 /day cost.

My son went to NYC this weekend and the email alert informed me that Roam Like Home is now 7$/105$max.

I'll be looking for a new solution next winter when we're south for 4 months. The initial 5$/50$ was worth it. The 6$/60$ was okay but now it's better to get a US phone/device/sim for US usage.

Will keep an eye on this thread to see what's best at the end of the year. Currently four of us each have the 10gb/60$ plan.

Yah Roam Like Home got crazy expensive. For the same price, I just went to T-Mobile and got the $50 10GB plan. So much better and as I have an iPhone, texting and calling is the same as it's iMessages so I don't care about the different phone number.

Trying to pay for this but get the message below....how do I get around this? I have already activated my sim card and created an account...

We only accept cards that are registered to a UK address

Use a 3rd party refilling solution. For example, I think QuickBT+Bitrefill works well if you want to pay with Interac online. There is also this, which I haven't tried: https://www.mobiletopup.co.uk/three .

Ended up using ding.com. Was able to get a voucher and add to my account....now just have to wait until I arrive in France on Friday to make sure it works!

Freedompop is on sale for $1 at BB. Is there a way to check when the sale ends?

It floats between $1 and $5 in price, not a huge difference.

Maybe call if you're really interested in finding out.

Nice. I'm glad that worked. Did they charge you a premium for that service?

You may want to reconsider Freedompop now. They recently changed the amount of data you can earn from "friends." It went from upto 500mb/month to only 50mb/month. This means the free plan only gives you 250mb data. That is almost useless.

Not worth the hassle anymore imo.

The free plan is only 200mb of data per month. I've had a FreedomPop account since the start of 2018.

You're right, it is 200mb for the free. I just meant the total now is 250mb. The base 200 plus the 50 for friends.

All my accounts that just started the new billing cycle only have 250mb and the phones running on Sprint CDMA only have 550 now instead of 1gb. :(
