You will need to buy the cable to play this game. I already have the cable from my xbox, but I want the pc version since I could get DLCs easier as my xbox is offline.

Great for someone who wants to learn songs in an entertainment setting.

No. It needs their cable, which to me is understandable.

As far as I know only Ubisoft's cable works sucks... but there is a piece in the cable that makes it special, which regular cables don't have so I assume that's why only that cable works :P

Cable is 35$+tax at Walmart. Good deal IMO since this usually retails for 80$.... although there is a guitar+bass version coming soon.

The Bass addon was DLC for consoles. If you buy a new version for the console it will include the Bass DLC. All of the PC version include the bass DLC already. You literally cannot get the game for the PC without the Bass portion.

Any electric guitar will work, that cable will not. You have to buy the one from Ubisoft. This has already been answered several times in this thread.

I see that this game has different amps and effects, can you use them on their own without having to play the game. Meaning can I just plug in a Guitar and pick an amp and play whatever I want.

Yes, you can just use the effects part of the game if you wish. I've done that a few times.
