Rogers 3250 HD

Hi all,

My Scientific Atlanta Explorer 3250HD stopped functioning. Symptom: rebooting but never making it "up". The lights cycled between:

Code:
boot
-nu-
HAL2

I was also getting this error:
HD 3250 Er.01 Br.07

I called Rogers but they were not help and said my box is dead???? It was working fine couple of days again. It then reboot over and over several times. I asked to stop my HD service for now and resort to Analog cable which sucks I want to get the box fix as I don't have the money to buy a new PVR box. This one was a purchase one and its out of warranty. Is there anywhere I can take it to somewhere downtown preferably. It does looks like a power / fan issue to me.

Honestly to replace a 3250 on kijiji or something is like $100? If anyone is going to diagnose and attempt to fix the 3250 it might cost much more then that.

A co-worker had a 3250 that was also giving him error codes. He was referred to some repair shop in Scarborough but an estimate is $75! You'll get a credit for the cost of the estimate if you have them repair the unit. Definitely not worth repairing in my opinion.

Look around on Craigslist, RFD, or Kijiji to see if you can find a decent replacement.
