[Rogers] Apple Watch Series 3 GPS + Cellular 38mm $289, 42mm - $329

Hey was just browsing at the Rogers store and the sales rep told me they had the apple watch series 3 on sale. 38mm is $289 and 42mm is $329, usually they need you to activate on a smart watch plan for $10, if you're a share everything OR non-share everything customer it also adds 1gb data. You can just cancel it after and YMMV about the $35 connection fee. But still a great price even with connection fee and canceling. Call the stores before hand to get stock and colour info! Good luck!

EDIT: Also if you are interested in having it on your share everything plan or non-share everything plan they also have 3 months free service so it will save you another $10 a month. That also means if you do activate then cancel you won't be paying the service fees and only connection fee.

Thus $289 + $35 connection fee (YMMV on this getting waived) or $329 + $35.

probably an open box. no way they are selling 38mm at $289 and 42mm at $329 brand new.
If you did not switch to the $60 10GB plan when everyone else did you are not a true RFD'er 😝

Hi Op - so you need to sign up for another line on your existing account and pay $10 for first month and $35 connection fee and then cancel? So the 38mm is $289 + $10 + $35 = $334 (which I guess this is the Cellular version which retails for around $409 right now?

That's correct except you get the first three months of service for free so $289 + $35 = $324 for 38mm.

Thank you for posting this. Just bought the 38mm after seeing this thread, upgrading from my 2nd generation series 1 watch. Can confirm that you do not need the share anything plan to get the 3 months free. I am on the $60/10 GB plan and got it automatically. As an aside, I was told you cannot buy the watch at this price without activating on a plan, but can cancel at any time.

So if you'd need to sign up for a plan and then cancel it in order to be able to buy the watch at the $289 price, I'd be paying $289 + $35 (activation) +$10 (first month) + GST? Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes although you don't have to pay the $10 fee since the first 3 months are free regardless you have a share plan or not.
