Also, if you tend to do contracts for phones you typically get a bigger selection with the parent companies. But the funny thing is with the subsidiaries you usually get international text with all their plans VS on the parent companies they typical make you pay extra for that stuff. I know with Rogers you can get it for a buck though if you ask a rep for it (ymmv).

NEW ROGERS ADDITIONAL LINE DISCOUNTS UPDATE:

Add a second line starting at $75 $65/mo after a $10 monthly discount.
Add a third line starting at $75 $55/mo after a $20 monthly discount.
Add a fourth line starting at $75 $45/mo after a $30 monthly discount.
And get a $15 monthly discount per line for any further lines up to a max of 9 lines on your Rogers Infinite plan.

I guess this is a big FU to Telus.

Exactly, there is no advantage to go to Telus now (On the consumer side).
