Thanks, would I call the WinBack number and leave a VM citing my intention to leave? Or go thru regular retentions?

Got 2 more months to go with about $50 on my tab but want to start looking ahead of the end of my contract.
I think you should wait till your $50 tab is paid off. They would probably think you're bluffing otherwise.

You would have to go through regular retentions and then your number will make it to the winback team.

I decided to call Rogers to hand in my cancellation notice for next month. Will end up only having to pay $25 on the remaining tab. Hoping for a WinBack call.

Do you know how long it takes to get a call??

To confirm, is the best deal as of right now:
$80/10GB
+ $500 Bill credit
(+??? Potential for $150 credit more) depending on your negotiation skill?

I'm hoping to get either Note 9 or P20 Pro Twilight. Not sure if they will call me before the new iPhone release or after.

Thank you

Just an update. All seems to be in order. Haven’t gotten my first bill yet but...

-site shows the $100 plan. Got email confirmation of the 20% discount to bring it down to $80
-all plan details seem to be as described
-confirmed with agent during my number port in the notes on the account show a credit to be given for $500+$30
-iPhone X 64gb was billed up front.

So to confirm, you were not an old Rogers customer coming from another carrier?

Does the winback team have to call you (customer)?
Or are we allowed to reach out to the winback team?

I reached out to them. The person just looked up whether or not I was a Rogers customer before and once checked that I used to have an account, gave me the deal. That being said, I did have to validate the drivers license # on my old account. Maybe that’s how they check to see if the old account was really yours or you’re trying to pull a fast one on them.

Thanks, I've submitted a cancellation notice - so I am not officially an ex Rogers customer. Gonna see if they can do anything while I'm still with them.. Technically they would not be "winning me back", just trying to "retain" me as a customer lol.

Would love an update on this. If giving cancellation notice works, id rather not go through the hassle of porting out.

You mean you got a deal from rogers office of the president then went to freedom and now going back to rogers? Why

I plan on going to freedom. I got the deal to be $105-25% and $160 for the Iphone 8plus 256 gb. but then i also realized that I can get the same phone for the same plan price at freedom without the extra $160. But before I go full freedom im gonna port over and try to get the $500 off

Freedom reception is good nowadays? The $500 credit would make a big deal. Go rogers
