Just do the math. $80 x 24 = $1920, minus the $500 bill credit equals $1420. Then subtract the value of the phone and then divide that figure by 24 to get your net cost per month for the plan only. In my case that worked out to $20/month for 10gb which turned into 13gb because of the bonus data promo they were running at one point.
If you are in the market for one of these phones anyways this deal is a complete no brainer IMO.
