Just do the math. $80 x 24 = $1920, minus the $500 bill credit equals $1420. Then subtract the value of the phone and then divide that figure by 24 to get your net cost per month for the plan only. In my case that worked out to $20/month for 10gb which turned into 13gb because of the bonus data promo they were running at one point.

If you are in the market for one of these phones anyways this deal is a complete no brainer IMO.
Yeah, I guess I'll give it a shot and see what they offer. We don't NEED the phone so worst case if the deal is mediocre I'll just stick with what we've got.

Thanks for your input

Last year, I left Robbers for Bell's $60/10 GB deal.
They are offering the XS max for $289 now? Would have the other offers for the X or Xs? I didn’t go with the win back offer from August but might take it for the max.

There are no more contracts. Just phone subsidies. When you agree to a hardware upgrade with a 2-year term, the phone subsidy is spread over 2 years. If you want to leave/switch early, you just need to pay off the remaining phone balance.

Seems hard to believe they are offering the XS max for 289 plus a 500$ credit on top of that. I don’t believe it.

I imagine is $789. Minus 500 credit. And then you don’t get that credit twice.

No way considering they were offering the X at $499(?) a couple weeks ago.

That's what turned me off about the winback call I got.

I wanted to iPhone SX 64GB. They were $859+tax and I would get $500 credit per phone. However the credit would come on my third bill. I would have to cover abou 2K on my credit card on my first bill. No way I'm getting stuck with such bill on my CC. Sure the credit gets applied in a few months but then I have a huge CC bill at 19% interest

You don’t have the cash to pay off the cc bill and avoid the 19% interest rate?

The Winback team first called over Thanksgiving weekend and offered the iPhone X 64 GB for $29 upfront for the $80/10 GB plan with $500 credit + activation fee credit. I wanted to think about it and they called again Monday night.

I didn't ask about the XS model because I wanted the XS Max 64 GB. $289 was charged up front on CC. $500 credit + activation fee credit, $75/10 GB monthly.

Off topic, but did anyone else read the title as BIG YUMMY? For a moment I thought of Rogers Chocolates.

Wow, that’s pretty hot.

EDIT: Kodoo just offered me 16gb for $55... But I really want eSIM support and hope Rogers will add it.

It’s unbelievable what Rogers has come to

Retentions is giving GARBAGE plans where you might as well buy the phone outright and the only option is this?!... To actually leave Rogers??? LOL

Yup, and even speaking to Retentions or Management about the flawed logic of all this won't get you far.

Hi everyone, just wanted to clarify how the credit works.

I received a call and was offered the 10gb plan for $75 ($100-25%) and an iPhone XS Max for $289 ($789-$500). It's unclear to me whether others in this thread are getting an additional $500 credit on top of this.

I am confused but how is it now they start to offer credit for the XS Mas plus $5 cheaper/month. Great Deal though.

The $500 credit that everyone is talking about is the same credit you are getting applied to the iPhone XS Max to bring the cost down to $289.

So choked at Rogers. I got a call from winback about a month ago with an offer. Called in today and they said I'm not on any lists with them...the last winback rep even said she would document everything. All of a sudden I'm not on any lists anymore. I left rogers in August.
