Rogers Cable raises it rates...
And I come home to find out that the cable is out. Phoned technical support and they said they are aware of it with no ETA. Apparently Toronto wide?

Well, OP has a valid complaint. Rogers is one of the largest telecommunications Broadcasting companies and they suck at client management. Customers are left out of the loop and often feel their concerns are not resolved.
Rogers & others position themselves as full-service and charge higer fees, and gouge customers with late charges or early disconnect to threaten customers that want to leave. It's no wonder customers complain or leave for smaller companies or purchase gray market satellites. I can live with disruptions if I'm saving close to 50% vs. Rogers.
-- for those mocking OP. Wait for the day your service craps out and Rogers ignores you. We'll wait for your post.
