Both were for a house. I asked the rep and he said this includes the upcoming price increase. Not sure if he's telling the truth, but the best I could get from Bell as a new customer was $59.99/month + $60 activation fee for one year for 300 Mpbs. Even if they increase by $10, I am paying $40 and $50 which is still pretty good.

Does anyone know why Rogers limits the choice of only 1 bonus channel?

I have Rogers 100U for over 2 years and was planing to switch to Virgin. I live in Toronto East & checked just now & Bell All-fibre Internet FTTH, is available at my house.100Pacer wrote: ↑ Once my current escalation re: Gigabit is concluded this will be my next move. I know my home qualifies for FTTH from Bell and will be phoning my Rogers contact to receive the 500U @ $34 or $38 or whatever it is @ 24 months. Gigabit has been anything but in my case and it's been a real shame to spend the time and energy but lesson learned.
Now how do I get the $34 or $38 from Bell or Rogers ? I want to try this before switching to Virgin

I got it by calling and cancelling my internet. Told them it was a rip off and insult to current customers and said I was going to teksavey.
They called me back after I put in the cancellation and gave me the deal .

call retention and tell them a Bell sales guy came to your door. He offered you Bell Fibre To The Home Internet for $40. See what they come at you with

I called Rogers and they said they would offer Gigabit internet for $79 + tax. To add to insult to injury this pricing is before the March price increase. (Rogers referred to the Bell website price but I told them that bell field rep offered me for $38.
Is there a way to get the Bell offer or contact the Bell door to door rep.

Message them on facebook again and see if they can match. If you do have FTTH in your area, don't be afraid to file cancellation and switch to Bell lol.UTSC wrote: ↑ I called Rogers and they said they would offer Gigabit internet for $79 + tax. You would have to find a Bell FIeld Sales Rep.

Also, I'm pretty sure it's $99.99. I just confirmed with two reps.
The breakdown is as follows: Popular TV ($44.99) + Gigabit Internet ($45.00) + Local Home Phone (free) + HDPVR ($10)
Is the $99.99 offer available for low-rise residential?
I'm looking to get popular TV / internet bundle (with home phone) for the first time.
1) What is FTTH BUNDLE? I see people post about it here.
2) If I want to receive popular TV in both my family room and bedroom, do I need two HD PVR? Any chance I get two rental free?

You can get one HDPVR and then pay full rate for HD BOX ($12).

What is the difference between HDPVR and HD Box?
I just checked with Bell.ca
"While fibre to the home is not currently available at XXX, we do bring fibre to your neighbourhood." So I cannot get that $99.99 deal. What is the best deal for Rogers bundle for my case?

Any inputs for users? Thanks in advance.freakoutguy wrote: ↑ I was on a 2 year term for VIP Cable + 100 MBPS Internet + Homephone, for $155 (taxes included) which expires at the end of March. Coincidentally, I am also moving to a new house at the end of March. All I really care about now is Internet and maybe Smart Home Monitoring. I would not mind all 4 services, if discounted really well. I was thinking of using free phone line or some other VOIP provider for $10 and Netfilx/Kodi/IPTV instead of cable. What are my best options? Anybody got all 4 services (TV, Internet, Home Phone and Monitoring) from Rogers recently?

I say you sign up on a brand new account and don't even bother transferring over. You'll get a better deal this way.freakoutguy wrote: ↑ Any inputs for users? Thanks in advance.
Do sign up under your new residence before cancelling your old account. I'm assuming you don't want to keep your number?

Anyone from those who got the 34.99/month deal has received their bill yet? I just got it and it says the price will go up after March 12 (the famous 8 dillar increase). Any ideas if there is a way to avoid it as a new costumer?

HDPVR is a unit that contains multiple tuners and has the ability to record tv shows. HD tuner has no recording capability.
FTTN is fibre to the neighborhood. You may be entitled to packages under FTTN.

Duuuuh... To make money. For example, for at least 20yrs robbers used to include the chinese channels fairchild east/west and coupla others in our package for free as long as you had the old combo/combo plus plan on up. Now they strip those channels into it's own theme pack and charge you $15 bucs. A rip off. They know TO has the highest asian demographic in Canada and taking advantage of that. They've done the same for south asian channels, etc.
If the glove don't fit you must acquit! #WINNING
