Is that fixed or just for several months?
It's fixed until next November.

Okay, kinda freaking out here. Cancelled my services yesterday for tomorrow and still haven't received an email or call back. Called Winback and they said they didn't have on record a call to me so they couldn't talk to me. Now I'm looking at having all my services cancelled tomorrow which I don't want! Any suggestions? Thanks everyone!

A bell field agent mentioned a promo for 300 u for $55. Called in to Rogers and mentioned it to them and that I wanted to cancel. They bounce me around for awhile and I ended up getting 500 u for the same price.
Under what circumstances did that conversation get started? How can I get in on that Bell deal (and the corresponding Rogers -- not sure whether you cold called Rogers or renegotiated existing service).

I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna jump in on to their current promo right now and change after an year when the price reverts, but I was wondering if Rogers still hike up the price quietly when youre using their service?

Is the 34.99 gigabit win back deal restricted to a certain postal code or high rise buildings? I'd like to try my luck. I'm currently paying $70 for 500 down.

I don’t recall anyone saying it was restricted, although that won’t stop a Rogers rep from suggesting it. Likely only through winback however.

If you’re suggesting that Rogers will raise pricing on a 1 year fixed price promo during the 12 months, then the answer is no. Yes, it will be raised to standard pricing at the end of your 12 months, but prior to is usually when people begin negotiations again.

The only time your price might increase if you’re not on a fixed price but fixed discount. For instance, when everyone had the $99 VIP/Gigabit deal, it remained $99 for the 2 years. However, if you have 30% off a package, while the discount will remain 30%, you will pay slightly more when standard prices increase.

Most retention/winback deals are fixed price.

Well my 2 year $99 deal expired a couple days ago. Was a bit higher since I had an extra hd box.

New deal is select + tmn/HBO + 500u plus pvr and HD box for essentially 115. Should be good for a year. We don't really watch TV all that much and stream most of our shows.

Might just see if I can get a good deal on internet only.

I’m not in high rise building but I was able to get 24.99 for 500u or 34.99 for gigabit, just be nice and ask the agent from win back department if they can offer it to you.
Public Mobile: $8 for 50 mins + 50 text msg
Fido: $0 for 3GB data only plan until July 2019
Rogers: $24.99 for 500u internet

Thanks, I'll do that. So all I have to do is set a cancellation date and they'll send me an email regarding win back?

Yep, that’s what I did.
At first the agent offered me 39.99 for gigabit and I asked her “can you do better?”
Then I got 24.99 for 500u.

I assume this is the base pricing and not promotion pricing? My $99 Gigabit/VIP/Home phone plan expires mid September so I'm hoping they will have some kind of promotional pricing by then. Any information on this mandatory installation fee I'm hearing about?

Thanks for the information

Hey all. I noticed the first page summary doesn't have anything anymore except the escalation process.

Moving into a new building that only has fiber so I can't move my Teksavvy service.

Any idea on what sort of service/prices I should aim for? Likely just want/need internet. It's been a while since I've had to do the Rogers/Bell negotiation "dance".

Thanks
