Same for me, I just called the number and they answered the same way, so it's the right number. Will post details later of the deal I got, which was better than I was previously offered.
What do you say when you call? I just want to talk about my account?

I am going to do some research first to see if it makes sense to go to Bell or stay with Rogers, just want to be prepared.

I feel like calling 1-844-754-1373 doesn't necessary get to the Ambassador. I called 4 times and all offers were different and nothing close to what other people gets. Did the number changed or anyone knows how to get to Ambassador directly?
Did you put in cancellation notice first? I think you need to do this to get the most competitive offers.

I did. however I called again yesterday and I was finally able to speak to someone at Ambassador. I was offered Basic TV + Fairchild TV with 1 netbox, 1 pvr, and 3 outlets and Ignite 100U for $107.82, Digital Plus and Ignite100U for $117, and Digital VIP + Ignite 100U for $132. All prices are tax in. Are these the best deals to get? I was paying $120 (went up to $124 last month) for Digital VIP and Ignite 100U. Promo ends on April 24.

You can do 100U + VIP for 120$ tax in. Look at my post above for more detail.

Did you cancel your service before you called? Are you currently on the same package before your promo expires?

I didn't cancel. I put in a notice for cancellation ( 1 month from today). Then called ambassador line 24 hrs later. I did have ignite 100 and VIP before getting this promo, I don't think that makes a difference though. It was pretty painless, took me a whole 5 minutes.

Got the following deal from calling the 1-844-754-1373 NUMBER

Home Internet (100 Mbps + Unlimited Download + 10Mbps Upload) = 59.99 + tax
Cable TV – Digital VIP 365+ Channel + Free 3.0 PVR Rental = 56.98+ tax
Home Phone (6 Calling feature + Unlimited US/CAN calling) = 19.99+ tax
==========================================================
Total 154.77 including Tax.
Is this a contract or I can cancel at anytime if I am tired of it?

I was nervous about it as I hadn't received a call from them. At first it went great, they answered and said "I'm whoever and you've reached the Amabassador line. I'm guessing you called because you received a call from me or one of my colleagues?". So at first I thought I was golden. I answered "yes, I recently cancelled and received a message to call you guys". Then he said "OK, let me just bring up your account and I can see who called you, etc.". Gulp. Of course, he brings up my account and can find no record of anyone calling. I get the sense they are on commission (or at least need/want to get a certain number of activations/day), which is why they care about who made the original call. Same thing when I was trying to get a better deal with the regular CSRs, the guy gave me his name and extension number to call him back if I wanted to go with the offer he made.

Anyway, he can't find any record of the call, so then he asked me if I remembered when I got the call. I was like "uh, I think maybe before the long weekend, but I don't know, my wife got the message and just wrote down the number to call you back". He sounded pretty skeptical, but was like "OK, well anyway I can take a look at your file and see if there is anything I can do for you." Then he asked why I had cancelled, I gave him the sob story, said the previous CSR had misled me a bit about what the package included, etc., and that it left a sour taste so I was going to switch, etc., etc. He asked what the main issue was, I told him, he made it happen. After that he was super helpful and I got a great deal. Will post details later, but basically the same as what Casanova posted, which I think is about as good as it gets:

Got the following deal from calling the 1-844-754-1373 NUMBER

Home Internet (100 Mbps + Unlimited Download + 10Mbps Upload) = 59.99 + tax
Cable TV – Digital VIP 365+ Channel + Free 3.0 PVR Rental = 56.98+ tax
Home Phone (6 Calling feature + Unlimited US/CAN calling) = 19.99+ tax
================================================== ========
Total 154.77 including Tax.

Also, when I called to cancel in the first place, she asked why. I gave a bunch of reasons, etc. She asked who I was going to switch to, asked for details of the deal, and then kept coming back to that to say she didn't understand why I was leaving since the deal she was offering was as good or better. I didn't expect her to harp so much on the Bell quote, if I had I would have made sure I was better prepared to debate why the Bell deal was better, so good idea to do your research first.

Hi all. I'm looking for a plan that will give my parents Ignite 30 and a Home Phone. Any suggestions on who I should call or the best rate? They are not existing Rogers customers.

I got the same offer last month except it was 56.48 for the cable tv + 45$ internet (grandfathered for 8yrs one) + same phone as above, but I decided to not take the phone service. :)
But this was through a regular retention rep, not from the winback department.

Some one in the thread mentioned they got the Cable TV – Digital VIP 365+ Channel + Free 3.0 PVR Rental for 46.98 + tax (instead of 56.98_tax). I tried to negotiate the deal but it was only for existing loyal rogers customers, not for new customers.

Only Internet is 2 years contract - Cable TV and Home phone can be cancelled at anytime as per the agent. I need to re-confirm it back with the agent.

The person i dealt with was Ashley @ 1-844-754-1373 (she works Mon- Fri 12pm - 8pm EST). You can give a call and ask for her.

This is what I ended up getting a couple of days ago.

I'm a long time customer (10+ years) and have home phone, cable, and internet with Rogers. I called a couple of weeks ago when my old discounts were expiring, got offered a decent deal, but thought I would try my luck with winback/Ambassador line so I didn't accept the first (or second) offer and cancelled. I did NOT receive a call from the Ambassador Line (though I only waited a week, which included the Easter weekend).

So, I call the Ambassador Line myself (1-844-754-1373) - more details on the call here: rogers-cable-retentions-new-customers-d ... st25560927

This is what he offered, and I accepted:

Internet:
- Ignite 100 (100 down/10 up)
- Unlimited bandwidth
- Free modem rental (CGN3ACSMR AKA Rocket modem)

Cable:
- Digital Plus
- Free Netbox 3.0 HDPVR rental + Free Nextbox Terminal
- Shomi, etc.

Home Phone:
- Favourites plan 6 features
- Unlimited long distance in North America

Price: $121.47 + tax = $137.26

He didn't break down the individual prices, so I don't know how he reached that total, but it's the best offer I've seen so I took it. I could have upgraded from Digital Plus to VIP cable for an extra $13.

The offer is rate protected for 2 years, with a 2 year contract only on the internet. The cable and phone can be cancelled at any time with no penalty.

The other cool thing is the additional Nextbox terminal I got appears to also be a PVR, which is utterly confusing, but that seems to be the case so that was just lucky. Either that or they all record to some extent and I just didn't realize that.
