Had legacy premier + 500u for $136 tax in and moved to ignite wireless via winback team got:

Ignite internet 500-Unlimited
Ignite Flex 20 TV + 3 TV boxes (1 box free)
@$100.99+tax for 12 months after that it will go to $176+tax and the circus games will commence again.

If I want to move to 1Gbps it will be $10 which I can do anytime within the 12 months.

*Note: I am on the old modem and things are fine so hopefully the new modem will be able to do the same even though I have 3 TVs to push content to, only 2 would ever be active a given time, if not, I will pay $10 more to move to 1Gbps. The only channel I care about that I lost by going off Premier to Flex 20 was my NBA TV but Raps are driving me crazy so it's probably a good thing.

Scheduled for Ignite 500u tomorrow but they cannot tell me which modem I will get. I want the XB7 with 4 ethernet ports. Btw, they couldn't waive the $29 modem fee.

Seems like the live chat and call options are pretty lame. Getting quoted $79.99 for 500u. Is there any actual reps on this forum anymore? New customer in Ajax. Should I consider the fido 150 promo at $42.50? Also jacked up by $5 sigh

I tried calling 6 times, Rogers did not budge. Called the 1866-600-9112 and no one called me back.

Googled around and found planhub.ca

I am in Ottawa and i looked at V media and found 150 Megs at Carrytel

My promo for Ignite 1 GB and Popular cable TV package ended in Feb. 2021. They increased the price from $105 to around $150! I called, they couldn't do anything for me except change my plan to ignite 300 to bring down the price to $120/month. I called back a few weeks later yo see if they could offer me anything else - I wasn't happy with the drop in internet but they couldn't so I put it a cancellation. The Rep did give me a one month credit on my bill, though. Maybe a farewell present?

They then said they will send me an 30 days adjustment ( free services for 30 days while a Adjustment Specialist contacts me and offers me "something". If we can't agree Ir return the PVR's at the end of 30 days.

Anyone else have this?
Called in Friday couldn't get a good offer. Canceled for April 2nd.

The rep adjusted the bill to a little over 50 for this month and gave me a free month of service ending on May 2nd.

Said it was a parting gift didn't want me to scramble to find services and then mentioned that I should be getting a call from winback.

So with the 30 days free I am assuming it is to give the winback team enough time to call if your cancellation date is close.

Strange thing is today I got a call from Zedd Communications saying they were from the Ambassador team (1-877-398-7162) but couldn't offer me anything since I canceled. The lady said her offers are similar to winback. I doubt it because she was trying to get me to switch to ignite TV. Before the cancellation roughly 2 weeks ago I had received a call from Zedd Communications the offer was pretty bad.

Can anyone confirm there is an actual ambassador team at Zedd Communications or this is simply not true.

Yes.

(Friendly piece of advice if you want to engage in high-stakes cancel/winback/etc games - do not have home phone with a number you care about, and do not have/use Rogers email addresses.)

Got a call from winback call got disconnected during the a transfer between departments to the management team;

if I keep my legacy deal I will be paying at extra 20 dollars a month but if I switch to Ignite package I will be paying the same as my current promotion:

Current Promotion: 1 gb internet + Premier TV with 3.0 4k PVR + Desi Lite + 1 extra channel = 152.54 taxes in

offer:

Legacy: same as above 174 taxes in

Ignite Offer: $152.55 taxes in --> 500U internet with XB7 + 3 pods if needed + Ignite Premier + Desi Lite ...if I want 1gb internet it is 10 dollars more at 163.85 ******* Correction there is no difference it is 174 taxes in for the 1gb internet package after I spoke with the agent a 2nd time

Not great offer from what I am reading here both 500u and 1gb are the same price.

Bell is offing me 1gb with 750mb upload + better tv package + 30 Indian channels a month = 141.14 taxes in + 250 dollar Visa Gift Card = 120.31 a month taxes in.

I will wait for another call back because while I was talking to the management team the winback agent was calling me at the same time. I assumed some confusion must have occurred during the transfer. During our interaction the winback agent didn't offer any credits to offset the extra cost and instead said "shall I write you rejected the winback offer".

Should I give it another go or call the office of the president? The management team was useless saying they cant offer better than winback.

Not sure what happened in your situation. You wrote that winback called you but got disconnected when transferring to management. Why were they transferring? Winback gives better deals than management, so did you ask them to transfer? If your call got disconnected without talking to winback/ ambassador team than you can call them directly (read last 2-3 pages for number) and leave a message if they don't pick up so that they call you back.
As far as legacy vs ignite goes, the pricing will most likely be better for ignite. Also, 1gb and 500u aren't the same price, typically 10$ or so difference.

Yes take the free month then call back winback after 3 weeks set up a new service and you got a free month of Rogers before your new deal kicks in.

Left Rogers years ago for Teksavvy but now I realize I'm paying over $70 with them for 75 down, 10 up.

Reading the speeds and prices in this thread has my head spinning. I'm paying like $20 more per month for a fraction of the speed of what some of you guys are quoting.

If there's a rep who can offer me a good new customer discount on the K1E postal code, PM me.
