300 internet
Premier cable (no boxes, we own ours)
Free HBO/Crave for 12 months
And 2 -\$100 credits that will come off of our firs 2 bills.

All of this for \$128 + tax

I was paying \$133 tax in for Gigabit/Premiere with 4k PVR and HBO/Crave for 12 months.

Faster internet and cable box rental for less money, even if you divide your credits by 24 months.
Why would he divide it by 24, and not 12 since you're talking about 12 month periods?
(128*12-200)/12= 111+tax (\$126)

It’s a suggestion of a hypothetical scenario for comparison’s sake. Problem with hypothetical scenarios is that they’re just that.

Divide it by however many months, it is still not a deal.

I used speedtest and when i was on their 60 mbps plan, i was getting around 40 mpbs download...and now that im on 500, i'm only getting max 120 mbps on a direct lined connection
signed up as a new customer on 300u for \$55/month

getting 500 mbps consistently.

Does anyone know if Rogers will still give you a winback call after cancelling if you received their 'let's make things right' email (and called the included number with no luck on a better deal)?

Also, anyone have experiences with Carrytel? Been looking around at other options and their 150/15 for \$49.99 seems to be one of the better ones I can find atm. Saw they had a \$39.99 promo for the same plan back around February, sadly missed it would have jumped on that if I saw. Cannet also seems to be offering the same plan, but charges a \$70 activating fee while Carrytel has none.

The "let's make things right" was your winback attempt, and you whiffed on it. Try calling the number back and negotiate again.

Would you be able to give me the number for this Rep?

Also, is that \$50 for the 1st year only?

I got this in the mail but don't plan on converting yet. Past Rogers techs have advised me that Ignite TV might not work well for couple of TVs in my house due to wifi signal issues. If I go with Ignite TV, he says I may have to invest in a MESH system so might defeat any monthly savings.

I have to keep my modem in the basement as it has the newest coax lines in my house. My main floor wiring has poor signal due to hidden splitter(s) buried in walls/ceiling. And apparently the new ignite tv modems are loud and can make strange noises so I don't want to install that near bedrooms.

Sounds like something people have come across in the past based on google searches and Rogers community forums feedbacks/complaints.

Posting the letter in case someone can use it to leverage their own deal. You'll probably get pushback like it's area dependent, time limited, field agent limited, etc. All regular dialogue. I have chatted with Rogers recently and it sounds like they are waiving installation if you push hard enough.

Rogers Tech also indicated that Digital Tv will be slowly phased out which I think has been mentioned on RFD before.
