good luck

I just called the 1-888-604-1483 number listed above and the CSR had absolutely no idea what I was talking about. He quoted me the same 25% offer that I got in store.

He said that if I had a promotion code, he could look it up. Did anyone that got this deal get a reference code?

Also, I'm in Ottawa. Not sure if this promo is not available in my area.

As it was mentioned in the other thread and from Steve himself, this deal wasn't going to last long. The other thread wrote a deadline of January 16th so I'm surprised people got it past that.

This is why it's called a promotion - limited time to try to entice many people as possible in the shortest time to join/switch.

Also, a lot of you guys are missing the finer details - such as the requirement of NEW customers and EXTREME package only, so everyone shouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work for express. The purpose of a promotion is to increase the number of users on a lesser-popular (but more expensive) product.

There's also a thread here on RFD by a CSR that mentions there's limited amount of these promotions given out and for a limited duration of time, usually at the BEGINNING of the month. We're now January 24... just wait until February for another round of promotions ...

One last thing, there's definitely a structure for personnel at these companies when it comes to promotions. Don't expect your minimum wage, part time CSR working at the mall (or the first CSR that answers the phone) to have all of the deals available that a full time persons job is to attract new or keep existing customers. If this was the case, every customer would be getting promotions, therefore defeating the purpose of a promotion.

This deal is available until March 4th. Both for Extreme $45/200GB and Express $35/80GB for 8 years. Subscribed to cable TV from Rogers is another requirement, but available for all. It's very tough to get it, be ready to be transferred from one to another clueless CSR times!

I called retentions. I told them I was going to leave Rogers and go with Techsavvy - the Employee first offered me 300GB at 20% or regular price and modem rental to be waived. I declined and he offered me the Plan below.

My Previous plan:
Rogers Extreme
120 GB at the Regular price of $61.99 + modem

My Current Plan
Rogers Extreme
300 GB at 60% off - now at $30.47 no modem charge and good for 2 years - no contract

So, how are people liking this deal? I am with Bell right now and the internet is pure garbage. I can't get the new packages because they aren't available in my area and I am paying $80 over charge internet fees because I go over the maximum bandwidth they offer.

Horsesh*t to say the least...

I would also like to know how people are getting 70% off? I've been getting 30% off all my services with free equipment rentals. 70% would be amazing. good for you!

How can I get this deal (70% off)? I've been trying for two months to get 250GB from Rogers but no way.
I've talked to 4 salesmen and they haven't heard of 50% or 70% off of any internet package.
I guess they don't want my business and I'll stick with TSI.

Wow! That's an amazing deal. When I called it to retentions, they told me the extra GB and the 50% off could not be combined.
