799+tax = ~900 bucks.

What about hardware upgrades? Is Rogers going to be like ATT and have two separate pricing for new customers and upgrading customers?

Well, I called Fido numerous times and was told that they knew nothing about the "upgrading prices" and that really, the only way that upgrading customers could get one was to buy it at the "no contract price" of 699/799 respectively.
I'm pretty sure as we get closer to this Friday, we'll have a good idea of whats going on.

You can probably expect the pricing will match AT&T, as I understand it Apple sets the pricing.

Does it look like the no-contract price for the original 3G will drop?
