[Rogers] Galaxy S8 and S8+ $0-$50 on tab

Right now on Rogers site it is showing the Galaxy S8 for $99.99 and S8+ for $199.99 with a 2 year premium plus tab. If you add these items to cart and proceed further it will eventually become $0 for the S8 and $50 for the S8+

I got quoted the same price from the online chat and over the phone but could not get it lowered in store.

I'm having trouble with the system, any idea if it discounts on a premium tab at the cart or if it's just premium+?

I know but OP said the Premium+ discounts $100 in cart, I can't seem to get that far but it would be nice. I can't go Premium+ without rearranging my plan and that'll cost a lot more in the long run.

Interesting, as the site is actually showing $0 in store as well:

Think that is after a trade in offer. Not sure but the automatic discount when you check out seems like a different promotion.

The offer is ok, but still pales in comparison to the BOGOF going on in the US right now. I think it may be a good idea to wait for a bit and see what the BOGOF buyers put their phones on ebay for first cuz there could be some good deals there.

Ahh yes - the comma splice in there made me look at it as the $100 trade-in was *on top* of the $0 price.

At any rate, I'm guessing your initial find may have been an error, which they are now in the process of correcting (since you don't seem to be able to continue on the site right now with Premium + selected).

Not really a good deal !
The 4Gb plan is $110.00 mo. A 5Gb plan at Koodo is 48$, (let's say 50$),
so at rogers the S8's value by month is 110 - 50 = 60. For 24 month it's $1440.
Way pricier than the retail price ($1,035 at koodo)
You end up paying $400 more almost 40% more.

I looked into it. I added the S8+ (with highest tab they offer) to my cart on Koodo and a 3gb plan. It comes to $570
up front and $90 a month. So $2730 before taxes and what not for the full term.

On rogers you pay $50 up front for S8+ and the 3gb plan is $100 a month. So $2450 for full term.

Even at $48 for 5gb on Koodo (can a regular person even get that plan?) you have to pay $1125 up front for the phone (that is how much it is at koodo) so $2277 for 24 months. So you pay about $175 more for not having to pay the full price of the phone up front and not having to move residence or change your number.

This came along with the info they sent me.
Device subsidy
$1,066.00
Maximum Early Cancellation Fee
$1,066.00
Amount Early Cancellation Fee will decrease each month during your Term
$44.42

With the lowest plan you can get it on it comes to $100 a month so really you are paying $1066 for the phone and $55.58 a month for 3gb plan. Sure not the best deal, but I got the device without paying much up front, so I am happy.

I think the deal is legit rather then an error. Everything for me went through, don't have tracking yet but I have an IMEI and SIM number already for the phone. If you want the deal and can't checkout on the website, just contact them on live chat or by phone.
