Rogers Internet Extreme Plus and Ultimate Price Drop
Hey Guys,
Just a heads up if anyone is looking to order Rogers Internet Extreme Plus or Ultimate, the prices are dropping drastically on November 15.
Extreme Plus (25Mbps) is going from $99.95 to $69.95
Ultimate (50Mbps) is going from $149.99 to $99.99
You can compare the various packages on the Rogers website. The new prices are not reflected on the site yet, but should be on November 15.

Are they increasing download quotas too?
It still seems pretty pricey if you start going over the limit.

.
Can anyone confirm this?
Wow good deal, isn't there a max charge limit if you go above certain bandwidth? I think it's $20 max. So for $89.99 you get unlimited bandwidth and 25mbps down speed.

I don't think it will be a region specific deal, he said the prices will drop on Nov 15.

Max usage limit is set at $25
I should know, currently I'm at 890.41GB of usage which is stated to be $1192.50 in overage charges. I know somebody on newsgroups with the same 10meg connection that averages 2TB/m

I thought after $25 of overage, they disconnect your internet.
So this is not true?

I don't think so. If they disconnect my internet, I just go back to DSL so I'm not worried.
I know with Bell I went over on 4 occasions and that was what made me switch to a cheaper (w/ unlimited bandwidth) provider. Now at my new house DSL is a little too slow so I figured I'd overpay rogers for 13months until my area is scheduled to be upgraded by bell next December.

Just wondering where your info is coming from. Nothing online or the Rogers site. Any info on express or extreme?

I agree with ProBoner... they don't disconnect your internet as long as you're okay paying the extra upto $25 for the month you went over. If you're going over, might as well suck 'em dry... I've gone over 3 consecutive months and paid the extra $25 happily... even checked with Rogers CSR who ALSO downloads that much and agreed that it is not a problem as long as they get their $25.

2 months ago! I downloaded 2.6 TB and the extra charge was $25.
I still do not understand why to have higher speed without significantly increase the bandwidth limit.
