With a nickname like ProBoner, there's no question what those 800 gigs of bandwidth are being used for

Lol, clueless. What they throttle is exactly that: Encrypted traffic.
Normal encrypted traffic (like visiting your HTTPS bank accounts, e-mail, etc.) won't be hit because they're low bandwidth traffic anyways, but anything else, you'll see a significant degredation in performance.
You heard correctly.
Newsgroups file transfers are not encrypted traffic

So what speed will they throttle it to?
Will mega upload download at more than 1mb with the 25mbps?
If I disable encryption in utorrent will it not be throttled?

So the maximum surcharge for exceeding the limit is $25? The surcharge is not spilled over into the next month? So I can download a terabyte in one month without facing penalties in the future?

I have about 8TB of storage at home and probably 5-6TB of that is high definition movies. I stream sports events frequently, I download xbox 360 demos, get tons of kids shows for the little guy, I get hi-def nature/travel shows and documentaries, and yes some pr0n for me too
proboner = probe owner. Long since sold that car but the name was already on every forum so I kept it

anyone else get dinged with a $49.99 installation fee?
apparently this smc modem can't be picked up and has to be delivered/installed.
What the hell does the guy have to do besides make the basic cable hookups that I could've done myself?
