I thought hanging up on them causes more problems since they can leave notes on your account so that when you do get a nice rep willing to cooperate they will just read the logs and become abruptly annoyed by the type of customer they are dealing with and probably avoid doing you any favors!

You're not 'hanging' up when talking...you just stay on the line once you're transferred in, listen to them say hello or something and hang up if necessary. Can't really fault you there....

I tried calling a few minutes ago and was denied telling me that they dont see promo for Extreme Plus. I was told to give them the phone number of a friend that received the deal so that they could look up their account or to provide the promo code.

Can someone help me out?

I just called in and the best they could do was offer me 30% off Extreme

I'll call back in a few and quote Teksavvy's prices & bandwidth cap and see where that gets me.

Is there anyone who got the deal willing to call back Rogers and find out what the promo code is to share with your fellow rfd'ers? Maybe indicate to the sales rep that a friend of yours was trying to get the same deal and that you are looking into it for them if the CSR ask...

Sounds like that memo may have put an end to the Extreme Plus promo. Even if we were to get the promo code, it's probably been disabled. Will keep an eye on this thread throughout the day before calling 'em back.
