Rogers Modem - buy, rent or other
Rather than paying my $3 per month rental, I'm considering buying the modem for $100. If I do buy it, is there a specific model I should ask for?
Other option is buying a modem from soemwhere else besides Rogers...any suggestions?
Thanks

Buy off of eBay. You'll save a truckload of money buying one from there instead of Rogers.
I had a thread awhile ago that talked about using non-Rogers modems.

There are a couple links in there that will point you in the right direction with regards to which modem to buy.

I insisted on getting a brand new one, Rogers does sell some used Extreme modems. Actually had the guy open up the box, show me the contents (namely the RFID tag) before I was willing to take it.
