I think he just means he has the games until March of next year. I got a lot of gaming i want to do that i'm not getting a chance to do. Also is it confirmed that Gears 3 is March 2011? I haven't seen a single release date for it yet.

Nah, I was just messing around. I was pointing out the potential games of the latter half of his PO list. I mean, I can't think of anything set in stone beyond April, so if it's not confirmed I don't PO it yet (with the exception of Gran Turismo). Lost Planet 2 was finally confirmed for May 18 I think, so I'll add that one to my list soon.

Gears 3 will definitely not come out this yr . . . even MArch 2011 is pushing it, since they'll want that lucrative holiday time. With Halo Reach coming and a lot of motion stuff, I expect a lot of games from 2010 holiday to be pushed to next yr. I do believe FEAR 3 will be out this Oct. though and very likely Fable 3, since it shouldn't interfere much with the Halo audience.

Last i read about Gears 3, they are talking about a release on the NEXT console and a possible PS3 release as well (thinking they can sell as many as 4 million copies on the PS3).

Not sure if this has been brought up but wanted to post this for anyone who's doing the trade 2 get ME2 free. I took in Modern Warfare 1 and Brutal Legend (as per their info in the brochure). MW1 wouldn't scan as part of the deal and was apparently a misprint (it's supposed to be MW2). Thankfully the manager was in and I still got the deal but wanted to give a heads up to anyone that's considering using that game as part of their trade in. You may have a tough time getting it through.

just to add to this, since I didnt read this thread in while and it happened to me too last nite:

not only is it a misprint in their flyer that says "Call of Duty:Modern Warfare" as an eligible trade game for T2G1F for ME2, but the geniuses at Roger's head office actually input a new game listing into their system with it's own scan code as "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare"!!
So now in their system they have Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and some mysterious game which doesn't exist in the world called "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare" which has its own scan code and is the required one for the promo to work. So if you bring in either COD4:MW or COD:MW2 to trade in, neither will scan correctly as the promo version their system is looking for to allow T2G1F for ME2!

Mind you, this is only an issue if you have a dumb-as-bricks Roger's csr who doesn't just use common sense and punch the promo through (like the one I dealt with *cough*Andrew at Yonge and Wellesley location*cough*) who absolutely knows nuthing about games and thinks ur lying to them about bringing the wrong game...the game that the system is asking for doesn't even exist!

I was able to trade MW1 last night but they confirmed that a memo went out to explain the mixup "with a few games". Just grab the in-store flyer (Bruce Willis on the cover) and they will make it work with a manual override.

The way I was told it, and the way it worked for me, was that you need to buy a game of $19.99 or higher and get a free game of $19.99 or lower. The $19.99 price point overlapped in my case, as I grabbed 4 different $19.99 games at 2 different locations.

I think the main change with the promo was to make sure people didn't run in and buy a ton of cheap $12-$17.99 games and go BOGO crazy.

well i've no clue why they wanna think that way, b/c in the past the BOGO used games $20- sales were meant to clear out old games that weren't moving ...

agreed... i personally thing RP should be allowing 19.99 and less ONLY as part of the sale.. as most of their 19.99 or less games r crap and the deal would just be getting rid of their stock for them...where as if u can get a game >19.99...ur basically getting urself a better game u want and another free crappy game...

I think it's just a misinterpretation of the promo or a manager trying to protect margins and they just won't let go of the idea. Stores do compete with each after all which I don't get either.
