Rogers portable internet question

Currently a Rogers high-speed client. I need to go out of town for a few weeks and need an internet connection. Is there any way to switch to portable high speed for 2 weeks and then return back to regular high-speed. Can I rent a portable modem? If I get a portable modem, will it work with my current connection or does Rogers need to activate the portable modem?
