Rogers Rocket Stick vs. Bell HTC Touch with NFSFAN ROM reliability

I currently have the two devices and would like to know which is a more reliable technology. I've only had the HTC Touch on prepaid browsing (1x EVDO I believe) and I can say that it is slower, at least according to speedtest.net tests, but seems awfully more reliable. I had my online brokerage account open and the connection stayed on for 3-4 hours (before I disconnected) this afternoon.

The reason for my post is to gather information as to whether I can safely cancel my Rogers Rocket Stick now that I have the HTC Touch.

I will not be abusing the HTC Touch and will use it only for browsing and internet connectivity to data streaming applications.

My experience with the Rogers Rocket Stick, which I've had since January, is that there is frequent dropped connections (maybe once every 1 or 2 hours). Is there really a difference with reliability of the Rocket Stick vs. a tethered cellphone?

This depends on how much you require this mobile connection... because once Bell figures out you are tethering (and they will if you use "data streaming applications" on a regular basis) they will cut you off and/or charge you normal extremely high data rates.

Thanks for the warning Brunes. So it's best to use this mobile connection for regular browsing and not for data streaming applications? What is the difference between streaming data through the HTC Touch and tethering that Bell can easily distinguish between the two? I know you pointed out in one of the other threads that Bell can easily identify data through tethered connections.
