Just called in as well, did not cancel, asked for promos from loyalty and they offered the $49+tax for gigabit for 12 months. I took it.

Almost double what I'm paying for now (500U for $28+tax), but they offered $44.99+tax for 500U and I didn't think that was good enough.

Did you call a different number? I put in a cancellation on mine but I haven't received a call.

Got called by an agent about my upcoming renewal and got quoted $50 for 500 mbps (currently paying $37)

Tried facebook chat and got similar response, might be time to cancel and try another provider

Why is everyone gunning for gigabit or 500 mb net now? 99% of consumer services don't use this much. Netflix is like 5mb and let's say you use all four connections, now you're hitting 30 max. There's a reason why they're happily giving you this much but it doesn't always mean that you got a "good" deal in your case. Esp for those paying 50+/mo.

Got a call from rogers and they offered me $45+ tax for 500U ignite. I decined, went onto rogers live chat to cancel my service and got offered $35+ tax for 300U ignite and took it. So $40 all in is pretty good ill say. Im coming from last years 500U $25

I was already with Roger's, I had the exact same tv package and internet plan minus the home phone on the digital platform for roughly the same price.

How did you get that deal? I’m currently with Rogers and my discounts are expiring. What they’re offering to you for $116 they’re offering to me for $186.

Was provided 34.99 for 500u for 1 year. $5 more than what I am currently paying. Accepted it. Didn't want to hassle or bother switching to another provider.

Some of my discounts were expiring in 30 days.

Was able to secure a rate of $110.72 (after taxes) from Dec 4th, 2019 until Sept 3rd, 2020. You can add $3.13 or so to that as Internet goes up by $3.00 next month.

$70.78 for cable after taxes. Popular package w/ 1 Nextbox HDPVR 3.0 rental + Kids TV package.
$39.24 for internet after taxes (+ $3.13 after rate increase). Ignite Gigabit.

Was paying $108.24 prior to the change so represents an increase of a couple bucks. Didn't want to budge and have to switch to Ignite TV yet.

That's $49.99 plus tax which is one of the new customer deals so it's pretty good.

They are really squeezing the people not in Bell's FTTH crosshairs. The best I'm being offered for 500u is $55 + taxes. This after coming off a year of $32.99 + taxes for the same service. I have a cancellation date and will probably be done with Rogers.
