my discount was expiring for 100u...$59.99+tax=$67.79
I have Digital VIP $81.99 + Digital Terminal Rental $12 + Digital Service Fee $2.99
minus bundle discount $3.28 = 93.70 + tax = $105.88

will all the talk about keeping the grandfathered digital VIP as it has more channels, my focus was only to get the 100u discount renewed another 12 months

able to do so....changed from 100u to 150u, and keeping digital VIP...

I'm thinking...still crappy considering what "others" are getting

Paying $81.99 + $2.99 - $13.99 (discount soon expiring) for Digital VIP.

What's the best deal for similar channels out there now? Not really interested in internet as I just got on the carrytel RFD $35 plan.

I don't even know if it's possible/or what the limit is, but i'm hoping when my current package expires (extra plus/same price as vip) that i'll be able to talk them into a $30 (or $40!) recurring monthly discount with it. Post please if you manage to get something similar to that keeping vip.

Congrats btw with the carrytel package. I've been taking a look at that myself for next spring. Right now i'm on gigabit (with no need whatsoever for that speed). I set my router to a 75mb/10mb cap for testing purposes, and I really see no difference between that and gigabit.

If they let my package (extra plus+gigabit) continue at the same price next spring when it expires i'll keep it, but anything more then i'm currently paying and i've every intention of completely restructuring it.

Fairly pricey. Try to get the Premier + 150u + local home phone for $114.99 + HST through facebook or retention

Yeah let's see what they say. $82 is alot to pay just for cable, but it's the convenience we're paying for especially for the wife and kids.

So I called yesterday to cancel my Internet with Rogers as I was switching to Cannet. The best they could offer me was $55 for 60 mbps
I was switching to 75mbps unlimited for $35 so I said no.
Now, today Cannet is calling me to inform that they can't provide me service because of some CRTC rules (I suspect it's because my house is 1.5 y.o. and the 3rd party service is not available yet by those rules)
So my only option is Bell or Rogers. Do people get a retention calls after asking for cancellation? If I already have cancellation reference number I guess I could still call and ask not to cancel? I'm on $70 100U plan now. I should be able to get 150U for $60 or 60U for $50, right?

How do you contact through Facebook Chat? I tried and they essentially told me to call their 1-800 #.

I just contacted, after about 30 minutes they replied and asked to fill the form to access my account.
First, they offered $70 for 150U, then I asked if they can offer it for $60 or 60U for $50.
They had to reactivate my account to create the work order and check what they can do and in the end gave me that deal, so I took 60U for $50, not really need so much speed anyway.

What the ....
I received confirmation email and it said I'm paying $40/m on 60U
Image
On the other hand for some reason the balance on my Rogers account rose to $227.80. Trying to figure out this now...
Edit: Tried to contact through chat and they can't figure out what are the charges until invoice is created. Told me it's probably a system error. Will follow up later with me when more information is available.

Nice - 60u at $40/month pretty much matches TPIA prices, especially if that's including your modem.
