Anyone else on last year's 50% off deal have their 100U service go up in price? I know that general rate increases happen every now and then, but I never received any notice on my statements. Not a big deal (costs $1.50 more after discount), but still sneaky on Rogers part.

You should have gotten something in the mail about the increase. Or it could have been on the bill. I remember seeing it a few months ago. If you are receiving a percentage discount then it's subject to any rate increases during the term of the promotion. If you got a fixed price term (eg $59.99/mo. for 100u for 2 year term) then it's price protected and your rate won't increase during the term of the contract.

Through cancellation and Ambassador many are getting VIP- 46.98 and Ignite 100- $59.99. Some are not evening cancelling and just calling Ambassador directly.
You can call Ambassador without canceling?

That is VIP with a Nextbox 3.0 for 46.98?

Looking for some help. Currently paying 212.15/month after taxes for Internet/TV/Home Phone. Having been with Rogers for almost 15 years and after reading through some recent pages on here. Our plan seems ridiculous given we're on:
Internet
Hi-Speed Extreme Plus Unltd + Enhanced Home Gateway Rental Fee: 103.36
Cable
Basic + Digital Service Fee + Standard Digital Box Rental Fee + Extra Outlet Fee (we only have 2 TV's so i don't know why we're charged this): 54.31
Home Phone
Favourites Plan + Call Display: 54.48

From what i've been reading on this thread it looks like I can get:
Internet
Ignite 100u including Modem (2 year contract)
Cable
Digital VIP w/ Free Nextbox 3.0 PVR rental + Shomi extras
Home Phone
Favourites Plan (6 features)
500 NA Long distance minutes

Which seems much better for much less than the 212.15 we're paying. I saw some postings at 157-177. Which to me is a steal. I plan on calling the Rogers/Ambassador line directly tonight to see if I can join in on these savings. Any input regarding what I would tell them to get something within the realm of these deals would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, including Nextbox. Ambassador even gave me a goodwill credit in order to match what I paying last year. I found it a much easier/quicker process than the old winback route.

I just called Ambassador line and was able to negotiate Digital Plus TV from $75/month (tax in) to $61/month (tax in). The discount is for 2 years but there is no commitment e.g. I can cancel anytime without paying a penalty.

I asked them if there would be further discount in case I want to add Rogers Ignite 30 and the quote they gave me of $131/month (tax in) is high so I will pass on the Internet for now.

I was hoping for under $100 (tax in) for both Digital Plus TV + Rogers Ignite 30 but that was the best they could do, at this point.

So it figures i find this thread after I call rogers. I thought I had seen it before.
$139.99 2 years

Extra Plus Cable
2 x HD Terminal (not PVR)
250 Rogers Ignite
Unlimited
Modem Included
2yrs Shomi
NHC GCL
$100 account credit
Waived install fee (49.99)
2yr pricing

Based on their website pricing working in the box rentals and all that it seemed to work out to a pretty good savings, $40+ /month. But you guys seems to have much better luck.

called the ambassador line. $69.99 for 250 ignite, two years. total time on the phone was about 6mins. wasn't as good as the 50% off that i used to have, but good enough for spending 6mins on the phone!

Ya I'm not surprised about the increase, I knew it would happen; however, I definitely didn't get any bill notification (checked the last 6 invoice PDF files). Also don't recall getting anything in the mail, nor would I consider postal mail valid notice when I am not subscribed to any paper mail services from Rogers.

GTA
FREE TMN/HBO for 2 months

I'm a basic cable subscriber and 1 month subscriber to More Movies Theme Pack. Two days ago I called Rogers cable sales dept. to cancel the theme pack. The rep put the cancellation order in the system and then out of the blue offered me 2 months of TMN/HBO for free. Might be worth shot to ask for the freebie. HBO's VEEP alone is worth the effort.
