I too received this email, but it was for a higher price. $49.99 500u package expiring around the same date as you, but I was offered a loyalty promo of $57.99 plus tax. I took it because it's the best I could get from Facebook chat, Roger's chat, calling in. L1C area.

I guess Rogers has enough customers to extend this offer to new customers. I've tried calling them and messaging them on chat the best they can do for me is 84 for 500Mbps... BS!

I am done with Rogers, getting too old and tired to deal with them...good luck to those who's still playing pricing game with Rogers.
Do you realize that Fido is Rogers? You didn't leave Rogers. There is no reason for them to give you a call back.

FriendlyUnit wrote: Your call, but from what I am getting with Rogers in my area, even though my package is 1Gbps, my speeds are sub 100mbps most of the time. Hence if you need better service try negotiating with bell or go for 150mbps with Fido or Rogers if they have one on promo.
It's your local problem. It's rare but it happens. Most people don't have this problem. You need to complain to Rogers regularly and ask your neighbors to do the same. Rogers will upgrade your area and you will be getting full speeds any time.

Called the website number today at 5PM, left a voicemail saying I placed a cancellation order in a while ago, and was given this number. Voicemail said they would get back within 48 hours, hopefully they can do something, cause my cancellation date occurs on the Jan 15, 2021. The management office (escalation specialist) wasn't able to provide anything special, so hopefully winback / ambassador can help me out. Will keep you guys updated.

EDIT 1:

I forgot to leave my number in the voicemail, so I called back and one of the winback team member picked up this time. Was speaking to him about it, and he was able to do the following:

Gigabit Internet, Popular TV, Home Phone Local = $179.99 - $80 = $99.99 + tax (basically $80 off the bundle for one year) - My new 2021 pricing.

My previous pricing before was the same bundle at $99.99 + tax, but they hit us with the $6 increased each month a few months back, which raised it to $105.99 + tax.

Then they wanted $110.99 + tax for renewal after talking to managers (management team / escalation specialist), basically a new pricing of $175.99 - 65 = $110.99

When I put in the cancellation order, and tried getting a deal through the management team (escalation specialist) was so much more of a headache and wasted so much time (since I called a few times and the wait times are so long, cause I had to go through the regular number because the number that I got from "share a concern" via email didn't work. Best they could offer was $110.99+ tax.

Would recommend placing the cancellation order and going straight to the winback / ambassador team instead, so you don't have to waste time on hold trying to reach a rep / and then getting it escalated to management team.

Winback / Ambassador team number is: 1- 866-600-9112.

Midway got a call back from the another winback team member during the talk (didn't pickup because was already talking to one), and he said that he will pass it on to the previous rep that was in charge of the case, so he left notes on my account and said the other rep will call me back within 15mins to get it confirm, will keep y'all posted.

The winback team member at first was only able to offer me the bundle at $179.99 - $70 = $109.99, then I asked if they could try to match the competitor offer of $99.90 that I saw another RFDer post a while back for new house development area offer in Richmond Hill that was for 1.5GB Fiber Internet, Bell Better TV, Local Home Call, 4K PVR (told them a field marketing rep offered me this, since there was actually this lady that came 4-5 times within the past year to my house, but I wasn't interested at the time). I leveraged this to management team / escalation team and they didn't care / do anything about it.

After he was able to offer me additional $10 off that price right away basically, which dropped it back down to $99.99 from $179.99, which was what I was paying before the $6 increase a few months ago. (Previous year pricing was same bundle @ 169.99 - 70 = $99.99)

EDIT 2:

Still waiting for the other winback rep to call me back to confirm.

EDIT 3:

So I just got off the phone with winback. The pricing bundle isn't 100% the same as my old one, but close. I used to have Unlimited Canada Wide calling via Home Phone, but now the deal is only for Local (took it, since my parents already have Canada Wide Calling on our cell phones).

New Bundle: Gigabit Internet, Popular TV, Home Phone (Local Calling Only) at $99.99 + tax. ($80 discount off the $179.99 bundle price). Just hoping we don't have anymore price increases this year, like we did recently again $6 increase a few months ago.

She also told me that we could remove Home Phone, and save additional $10, making it $90 + tax for Gigabit Internet / Popular TV as well at the time or even later on. My parents still like having a home phone, so I decided to keep it for now.

I thought we needed all three to get that bundle pricing, but she told me it used to be like that, but not anymore. (Manager from the management team / escalation specialist from 2 weeks ago that gave me the $110.99 told me that we had to have all 3, guess she was lying all this time). Shoutout to the winback team member for telling me this, very nice lady.

Now just gotta wait 1-2 days for them to revoke my cancellation request, she said she will keep me updated after she submits the order to get it cancel after I asked if I should be concern if I don't get the confirmation that my cancellation request has been revoke / new promo put into action via email.

Happy dealing guys! I hope I remember to call the winback team next year (did it through winback last year as well, but forgot about it) instead of trying to do it through Rogers management team / escalation team.

I recently signed up with Rogers at the beginning so December and my plan is 500d and I think 10u, the plan cost was $109.99 every month but when I signed up they offered me $30 off so I pay around $90. Does anybody think I could lower it? And if so what should I say?
