Just got 300U for 54.99 plus tax. Going from 150u for 49.99 plus tax a month.

not much I can do in Thornhill/Vaughan area. For now I have accepted this offer will have to see what other providers I can jump over to.
I'm in the same area. Postal code and building type don't matter, its just excuses representatives are trained to say.
Try these steps to escalate: https://www.rogers.com/cms/images/en/Ab ... n_2012.pdf
I eventually settled for 500u for 40$ from the Office of the president.
Good luck!

No luck with online chat as my contract for phone/tv/internet expires end of March. May need to go to the Bell field offer on the other ongoing thread.

Maybe this is old news. I just looked at my bill. There is an announcement of $3 increase to internet and TV ($3 each). Anyone else get this? I just got a new package and now they slap me $3 increase. Do I have any recourse? Scheduled for April 1st, hhmmmmm.....

Anybody tried getting a good package with the new ignite tv bundling? Seems interesting, cable-less. Friend has reported noticeable visual improvements on some channels.

No good deals available on Ignite TV bundles yet AFAIK. However, rumour has it spring might bring some deals.
After more than 2 hours on the phone and actually putting in a cancellation date, they offered me a $25 discount on the Premier + 500u Ignite TV bundle. It ends up working out to $174.99 - $25.00 + $5.00 for a second box + tax = $175.14

Nope just the same service I had gig and popular for 107 but he said next year it probably might go up 5-6 bucks. I want to try and calling the office around nov dec to get a 80-90 dollar similar plan

I just put in a cancellation on Friday, March 1 to end the service on March 30 as they quote me more $ for the 3 services that I currently have. Popular TV and HBO, 1 nextbox, 150U, homephone with 2 features and I am paying now $171 tax in. New quote from chat was $190 tax in with the same 3 services. My area does not have high speed from Bell, only fibre 5mps, very much that I have to stick with Rogers/cable.
Do you just call the Rogers Ombudsman (office of the president) and ask for a better deal since I already put in the cancellation? We have been with Rogers over 25 years.
If I call them, what do I ask and what is the reasonable deal for my area, I live in Mississauga. I am not good at this.
Thanks.

Did you try escalating to a manager for a deal? If that doesn't work, then you would escalate further.
As far as i know, you can't call the office directly. I filled out the share a concern page. Write how disappointed you are with how they treat loyal customers and make up other reasons :) BE POLITE. They called me back within 1 business day.
"Reasonable" is up to you and how much time you want to spend fighting to save an extra 5,10, or 15$...

Currently have a 2 yr Bell promotion ending on May 13. Gigabit internet, Better TV, phone - all for $99/month (which has steadily increased to $125 w/tax /month).

Had a Rogers rep come to my home and offered the following:
- Gigabit internet
- Popular TV
- Phone
All for $115.00/month + tax.

Originally the rep said it was PERMANENT PRICING. Now, one week later, rep calls me to say it is no longer permanent, and Rogers is offering $540 in incentives per customer (HBO/Crave free for 1 year, free $150 installation, $150 on a pre-paid Visa). Price is only guaranteed for 1 year.

Thinking of signing up with an installation date close to my Bell expiry of May 13. I would cancel with Bell, call their retentions once my cancellation date is in their system and hope they would extend my promotion for at least another year.

Good plan?
What date would be best for me to schedule in the Rogers install just in case Bell doesn't extend any offer or promotion?

Any other tips or advice?

Currently on Rogers VIP+Gigabit promo with discounts ending this month. After placing cancellation request, got an email with a ref. number and a phone number to contact a 'specialist' at Rogers.

Agent on the phone offered 300Mbps with Popular TV + HDPVR for $103/month. Didn't accept the offer right away as wanted to see if I could get higher speed and/or 4K PVR. Sent a note to OOP, lets see if they could improve on the offer.
I referred to the Bell $99.90 offer but 100Mbps is the highest Bell has in my area. Probably this was the reason agent wasn't willing to offer higher speed to me. However, Bell does come with a 4K PVR.

How long to get the email from them?

I'm on hold now with the "manager" and the best they are offering me is $149.99 Ignite TV 150u with popular. Too much so I am putting in my cancel for April 1.

Ok. I just received an email from Rogers to call them with a ref number and said they don't want us to leave and see what else they can do.
I called them and the CSR asked why do we want to cancel with them and I said the promotion will be expired end of this month and Rogers quoted me too high price and other service providers can give me better offer. (So prepare when you talk to winback, they may ask you what other service providers can offer to you). I said we are looking into carrytel and bell. She look into my address and right away she said bell only offers 5mps for the internet in my area, so that is a no go for us, then she looked up carrytel and said that they offer 150U for $50+$5 for internet home phone and there is no comparison to Roger's land line, then she look up bell for the BETTER TV and roughly $85 per month. So it will be $140+tax give in take if I leave Rogers. Then she said she can offer the same 3 services $163 tax in and I said no, we are only looking at around $150 tax in and I said I will think about it. Then she asked to hold for a few minutes, then she said she can give $150 credits ($50 per month for the first 3 months), so the total average will be roughly $150 per month. Ok. That is reasonable, then she came back and she said she can plug additional discount to make it $152 per month for the next 12 months and I took it and there is no need to watch the credits.
So the deal is:
Popular TV, Nextbox PVR 3.0 (need to swap that tomorrow as we have the 2.0), + HBO/Crave (I already have 2 boxes rent-to-own, if we go to Bell, we need to pay for the rental boxes)
Internet 150U
Homephone Canada Wide with 6 features.
Total $152 tax in for the next 12 months.
Price is almost the same as what we first negotiated last year.
I also asked if I only want local calling with 2 features and she said that is more expensive $22 compare to $20 for the canada wide + 6 features, and if I don't want HBO, she said the price is no difference because the HBO is free with my bundle.
