Was pleasantly surprised with the offer I received from FB chat this morning. My package expires on June 1 2019.
I was on........
500U internet
Premier TV + Fairchild Channel
1 HD PVR box
$116.45 Tax incl. (This is after the increase of $6 kicked in).

Offered and accepted...... 12 month pricing
Gigabit Internet
Premier TV + Fairchild Channel
1 HD PVR Box
$114.11 tax incl.

Located in the GTA.
Accepted the deal since it keeps me within the same price range and have been pretty satisfied with their services over the past 15+ years.

I was prepared to go the cancel and call the management route........... but this saves me the time and effort to go through all that.
Also didn't wanna switch over the the Ignite TV just yet, since I own most of my boxes, and don't have to worry about no TV if the internet goes down.

Just got off the phone Rogers, told them that a Bell rep had offered me a good deal ($77 for 1Gb + Crave + HBO + TMN + Starz).

Was told that Rogers can't give me Crave unless I have cable TV.

So best offer that the Rogers rep could give me was $96/mo for 1Gb

Has anyone had a pop up for a new promotion (near your current expiration) no longer pop up, but there is still a 'Promotion offer' button showing that leads no where? I got a pop up which I luckily saved a screen shot of, but now it's not popping up anymore. I haven't called the number on it - but just curious what Rogers is trying to pull here.

Not a joke, you get what you pay for. You don’t want to pay for cheap service right? I would go with the $79.99

Was on $69.99 1 Gig internet plan. Just moved to new address, called and they offered me $89.99
Rep told me if I was a new customer he has seen 500mb for as low as $34.99 and 1 Gig for $37.99-$47.99

why are they doing this to existing customers? Seems like they just want you to cancel.

maybe they simply love drama? All these calls, chats , complaints of unsatisfied customers, with subsequent happy resolutions,
keeps them busy and gives them a purpose in life :)

My discount renewal time is approaching, not that I'm too happy to engage in another Act of Rogers Drama

I cancelled with bell yesterday as my promo is expiring in about a week. I was on the $73 good + Gigabit + home phone package for two years. After all the increases every few months I'm now up to $101 after tax which is still good. Best they could offer was around $157 plus tax. I requested a cancellation as I had already called Rogers, they had a good promo similar to what I had with bell. Ignite Gigabit, starter tv (not basic, similar to the good package), free HBO crave for 1 year (no contract) and home phone which I told them to take off and they did. All for $99 plus tax, they threw in the free install and a $150 prepaid credit card gift.

I still wish I could keep the bell package as the fibre to my condo is going to be superior to Rogers Gigabit over cable. However the price was the deal breaker so I'm pleased with what I'll be getting, I did not have to haggle with Rogers to get the discounts and freebies which was nice. Maybe I'll come back to bell in 6 months when I requalify as a new customer and can get better promotions. I should mention I haven't yet been emailed by the loyalty department after placing my cancellation though I did it shortly before they closed.

After my previous post, I contacted Rogers through their Web Chat and explained my offer from Bell. The rep came back with an offer of $74.99 for 1Gb, which I declined.

Then got a hold of another rep through their Facebook Messenger (which if you use, have patience). Told them the deal Bell offered. Again was told that they can't offer Crave + HBO unless I have cable. Told them I'd get Crave + HBO directly, and was looking for something that at the end of the day would be about the same price.

She came back, $104.99/mo with $50 off per month for 12 months (so $54.99/mo). No contract, activation fee (I've seen this added on before when doing an upgrade) or any other fees or commitments.

I took it.

We were originally paying $113 per month (after tax) for our Gigabit internet + Popular TV package (plus one free year of HBO/Crave). We previously had the Gigabit Internet + Digital VIP bundle (including HBO), and after it expired we switched the TV plan to Popular TV and got one year free of HBO/Crave for the same price via several credits applied monthly to our account. The credits are expiring this month, causing the price to skyrocket.

We called Rogers to see if they can offer us the same deal that we had before, and they best they could offer was $157 per month (which I don't think even includes Crave). Therefore, we submitted a cancellation request. Time to see if retentions can offer something comparable to what we originally had.
There is no retentions anymore, you need to cancel and deal with the ambassador team. I was in the same situation as you and ended up with Gigabit + premier + crave for $109 + tax. Rogers will force everyone to ignite in the next two years, though

I inquired about a new internet service last week.

My new home is not in an FTTH (Fiber to the home) area (older area ~30 years) so my internet offer is:
- 150U for $35
- 500U for $60
- Gigabit for $70

For FTTH areas, it gets much cheaper. I believe 500U is around $25.
Let me know if you want my contact for the sales rep.

My deal from 2 years ago expires next month. Gigabit internet + Popular TV + 2 HD Terminals + Home Phone + All World LD for $133 after tax.

Called a few weeks ago, was offered $153 and then $149. Decided to wait.

Rogers called me yesterday offered $158. Told me the $149 price no longer available.

Got $144 through FB Chat this morning for 12 months. Renewing at that price as Bell isn't an alternative in my area.

They will just raise the price of digital TV to something ridiculous. They did that with analog to help phase it out.

Just got off the phone with a Rogers specialist. We received an email from Rogers yesterday asking us to get in contact with them. After explaining our situation, we were offered Gigabit Internet + Popular TV + the Crave/Movies/HBO package for a guaranteed price of $105 (before tax) for one year. So we're keeping everything we previously had for $5 extra per month, which we accepted.

While it's annoying that we seemingly have to go through this song and dance every year to get a great deal, my experience this time actually went more smoothly than it did last year. i didn't have to do much haggling with the specialist to get this offer. Still, if they offered that price from the start rather than the $157 price tag we were offered when we called in initially, we wouldn't have needed to submit a cancellation request. Oh well.
