Question, I accepted the $29.99 offer when it popped up.
The question is before then there is an order of switching to 500 MB/ $35 with my account on March 10, do I need to call cancel or the new order will override the old one?

I would love to know the criteria for why someone gets targeted with these offers.
For me it's because Bell Fibe Gigabit is offered in my area.

No luck apparently 88 tax included for 24 months no contract is the best deal they have... Right... Time to look elsewhere

Are we ready to merge this thread with the earlier thread?

Basically if you are on the 500u for $25 you can extend another year or pay $5 more a month for 1gb
If you are on 500u for $30 you can extend another year or pay $5 more a month for 1gb

These are different deals. This is straight through the website. No calling in necessary for most people.

I signed up yesterday before there were any responses to OP (I commented on the first page of this thread) but I haven't recieved any confirmation of my order being processed. I only got the "Thank you" email saying that the order should be processed within 24 hours. Didn't receive any calls either.

Is it because my old promo ends sometime mid/late March and it will switch over at that time? For people who's old $25 500 Mbps promo was ending in March was the switchover instant?

I was on Rogers 500u for $25 per month. Person from Live chat customer service (Chris) was great as he offered to extend same promotion by another 12 months.

I'm surprised Rogers was that nice. Fastest call ever. I called in, asked for any deals since my 12 months expiring, she said we can renew you same price. I was like..thats it. $34.99 Gigabit for 12 months.

Different deal, different price, different method.

Same thing happened to me. I "renewed" on Thursday and got the same email about being in contact within 24 hours. I ended up calling this afternoon and they had no record of my acceptance or the renewal deal offered. I'd suggest calling them.

I called them to get gigabit on 30. The offer it showing 34.98 for gigabit. I asked then is it possible what I'm paying I will pay the same and get gigabit. But they are unable to make it. I said I will not take gigabit.

Not likely, in an older section of town where everything is buried just in the ground ... Bell indicated last year not likely anytime soon.
Rogers has a hard enough time finding their own lines.

My internet went down an hour (or bit less) after my order and that's how I knew it had been upgraded. Rebooted the modem and had higher speeds.

Don't need the pop up, I never got it. Csr that helped me was awesome. I didn't go through customer servic and chat got me nowhere the previous night, called into sales this morning. Not sure if there's a difference but that's the dept I had dialed into.
