This is crazy. My promo for the gigabit with Rogers ended last month where I was paying $90. They are charging me $150 now. Called to see what new promos they have and the most retention could do was a $3 discount. Been with Robbers for over 15 years and this is how they treat existing customers.

Anyone have good experience with bell? I guess it's time to switch.

Did you receive any information as to whether or not this $29.98 price will get hiked in a month or so when plan prices increase, or does this include the price hike already?
No reference to the pending rate hike ...

Like everything with Rogers, my assumption is that it will be affected due to them claiming "it's guaranteed savings, not guaranteed prices"
I'd rather be outdoors camping, kayaking, and mountain biking ...

Seems like a lot of people are happy with Rogers internet. Don't mind the occasional need to restart the modem, high ping, slowing speeds at peak hours and intermittent issues with IPTV, although they say they don't throttle.

I am paying more than twice this deal for Bell Gigabit which is still a discounted price. However I will never switch to Rogers. I gave them too many chances and they never as good as Bell. DOCISS is inferior to FTTH.
I found I had issues initially with their router, but once I swapped theirs out with my ASUS RT-AC68U, I had zero problems.

I'm on $25 500u plan since March or April 2018, I checked my account (on PC) a few minutes ago and got the $29.99 for Gigabit popup offer.

I don't really need the extra speed but for $5 I did the upgrade. thanks OP
Well that was quick, my internet just went down for a couple of minute and now I'm getting 900mb down / 30mb up on speedtests

Yea , Rogers is garbage , but the area I am living can only use Rogers and Fido ( they are same company though) . I don’t have a choice and they seem take this as advantage not giving out good deals :(

Last year, some people were offered the 500u for $16.99 and then after an immediate $8 price hike that went to $24.99. Others, were offered $24.99 from the start and didn't have that pricing change. That's why I was wondering which of these scenarios the $29.98 pricing might be.

Thanks OP. I got the promotion as well after logging in 24.99 for 500mb and 29.99 for 1000mb. Also there will be a $3 increase on March 1st. I got promotion in Brampton, Scarborough and Ottawa.

How long did you wait for a live chat rep?

I'm seeing the message, "Thank you for your continued patience. We're getting more Live Chat requests than usual so it's taking longer to answer. Your chat is still in a priority sequence and will be answered as soon as an agent is available."
Yeah that's the same message I had. The wait was close to an hour I believe.

Yeah, I waited about an hour and he was not able to give me the offer. He said the only active offer was for $79.99 for 300 which I obviously declined.

My term expires May 13th and he suggested I try to contact loyalty after I receive my last bill...

Your pop up showed two promos? What are you currently on?

Some people mentioned trying again with live chat and getting a different rep that gave the deal.
