Rogers: Unlimited Network Calling?

Let's say that a Rogers customer who lives in Brampton spends most of his time in Mississauga. This means that the customer's Rogers account obviously has his Brampton address on file. Does he get charged for the calls that he makes/receives from Rogers/Fido customers from Mississauga to the rest of GTA? OR is that area included in his Unlimited Network Calling?

I assume that the Unlimited Network Calling only applies if you are calling from your local area based on your area code.

So it's just the question of whether Missisuaga & Brampton are in the same local calling area. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to find that info out.
Call an operator perhaps?

So it only applies when you call from your local area.

As long as it's a local call between two Rogers Wireless/Fido/Rogers Home Phone customers it's included. I'm geographically challenged when it comes to Ontario so I'm not sure. But in Vancouver, say I phone from Vancouver to Surrey (Rogers to Fido), it's included in my Unlimited Network Calling.

no you are reading it wrong. It is ANY LOCAL CALL PLACED.

It does NOT need to be from your NCA.

You can be from Montreal. But if you have UNC, and are in say Winnipeg. Any local Winnipeg R/F/RHP number you dial LOCAL TO WINNIPEG, will be included.

OP your thread title threw me off. Your question is twofold., UNC application #1. Local Calling area geographical cut-offs for GTA/Mississauga etc #2. You'll have to figure out how far away you can call before it is LD. Just dial 7 digits all the time, whensoever you hear the prompt saying LD, mark your position for future reference, and proceed to map out your regions.

so local for cellphone works this way.

when you are in mississauga that becomes your local area so any call you place within mississauga will be included. now if someone calls you from mississuaga even while you are in mississauga it wont be local.

when you are in brampton incoming/outgoing are all local

now in regards with this specific sitution i am pretty sure mississuaga and brampton are considered one area. dial a number without dialing '1' and if it connects without any issues or messsage then you are good to go. but this might still apply "now if someone calls you from mississuaga even while you are in mississauga it wont be local"

It would make sense for calls made from Mississauga to the rest of GTA to be included in the UNC as that is considered a local calling area with Rogers Home Phone. So I don't see how they would make an exception to wireless. I called Rogers and they are just reading off their website, not being too helpful OR at all :s

Thanks Bubble.Tea. Brampton and Mississauga share the same area codes for cell phones (905, 647, 416) and landlines as well (905). So I would assume that if I make calls from Mississauga to R/F/RHP customers within Mississauga, it will be included in my UNC, correct?

Hold on there sparky!! Just because a city shares an area code, this is NOT definitively the way to know if it is local or LD. To do that, do as I explained above.
