Hey guys,
Are the retention plans also eligible to existing contracts without renewing (I'm already in middle of contract and can't renew anyway)?

Thanks

I have a couple lines with credits expiring from 3 yrs ago -- but we all want to wait for the iphone 5 to HUP

do you guys think they will extend the credits a couple months until the new iphoen comes out? then we can HUP and renew contracts

YOu should be able to renew and then HUP later if your eligable for a HUP you will not lose it when you renew. Atleast thats how it worked for my wifey

you can see how well rogers is gouging us by their Q4 earnings release today...

they have higher customer defection rate
least new subscriber additions
but are still able to outperform the bottom line

Staggering!!!

Link specifically to this quoted stats?

I will be joining the countless others who are switching once my 3 year jail sentence is up. Paying more money for an inferior product makes no sense whatsoever.

We need more people like you to actually switch over so that Retention can have their teeth again, for me I have tried the AWS guys and they were horrible from my experience, I guess I'm just unlucky and is destined to stay with the Big 3, let's hope that the AWS guys get more penetration into the market to actually put a dent into the Big 3 and we can get some decent prices and service

My contract with Rogers ended on february 14, retentions would not give me anything good so I switched to Koodo for voice plan on my iPhone 4 + Speakout UMB tethered with a cheap Android phone.

Actual plan :
Koodo 45$
- 250 min
- unl after 5pm
- unl incoming
- unl LD
- unl MMS
- VM + CID

Speakout 11.25$
- unl mobile browsing (with proxy)

Old plan :
47.83$
- 200 min + 100 bonus
- 100 LD credited
- Top10 LD
- unl after 6pm (6pm to 9pm credited)
- unl txt (no MMS) (can't remember if that was a free feature)
- 1 Go
- Double the data credited (so I get 2 Go total)
- CID credited, no VM

It was a pain to setup the Speakout UMB tethering from Android to iPhone, but it works great since. I have to carry 2 phones with me, but don't really care as I'm a truck driver and I just leave ithe Android on the dash all day long. I'm happy with what I have now, but I would have stay with Rogers if they offered me the same plan I had before.

.... I guess they are trying to dump people that have hooked up plans that are hurting their APRU.

While a sensible thought...
Let's be real though, I doubt very strongly that people with awesome retention plans could amount to more than 10%....5%??? of total subscribers?

Could it be significantly any more?

Does Rogers have any Retention Travel plans that include Data, Voice and Text that aren't on the website? I am going to New York for a Week and am wondering the best way to use my phone is.
An UPVOTE means my post helped you :)
