Nothing beats Wind's $40 Unlimited Calling + Data plan. Their network is much better now, specially in GTA.

I am stuck with Rogers till Dec on contract, but plan to switch to Wind . Why bother negotiating price when you can just switch for less.
Wind isn't bad. Too bad you have to pay for add-ons now like voicemail ... I have the $40 HMP which gives me north american wide calling and unlimited data .. it's so much better than rogers ... and the romaing rates are so much cheaper as well :)
Rogers: $65 10GB | Koodo: $75 16GB

Does Rogers still allow BlackBerry users to use a flex data plan or even the 100MB data plan using an AP3CON code?

A couple of questions:

If I want to upgrade to the S3 and I have the 17.50 plan, does that mean I have to make up of $28 (presumably for data) to qualify for the S3 (minimum $45 required apparently)? They won't factor in my total plan cost with the features (i.e. $30+)?

Also I asked for the flex data pkg but I was told it was unavailable, is this true?

Finally. I have the 50% Iphone value pack. I'd obviously have to give this up if I'm upgrading to the S3. Can I ask for something of equivalent value for an android device or do I just have to sacrifice this?

Thanks for your reply, shadyazn. What I am trying to figure out is whether Rogers would give me a retentions deal on a new line or not, on the basis that I have been a Rogers customer for a long time now. I am sure they will offer me a retentions plan on my existing phone but what about the new phone line that has not been with Rogers thus far?
This is very difficult but not impossible. I have done this before but it was almost 2yrs ago. I know rite now they have become very strict, and it will be next to impossible to pull this off. But yeah u cud just get a normal line which will cost u the least, and then call them 4 to 6mnths later and increase ur services or so forth.......this wud be the easiest way to be able to get a RET plan worked out.
Good luck..........

How did you get 50% off the value pack? I need to call in the next few days to lower my bill and fight a data overcharge.

Also, any tips on how to get more free data added to your plan?

Thanks!

Just be nice and ask nicely say you need more data but you want the price to be around $XX. XX represents close to around what you are paying If not cheaper!

Flexidata still available, I just got it 2 days ago.
I have exactly as you 50% dsct with value pack that I got in March, I just spoke to retention and they dont want to give more credits, because they say that I already have discounts in my plan (50% in my value pack) the only discount they can give is 5$ with the data

Contract is expiring in a few months... my credits match up exactly with the expiry date of my plan. Both my voice and data plan expire on the same day. Haven't been on this thread in years.. but based on what I've been reading, retentions have been more strict than 2-3 years ago. :(

Here is what I have:
250 Daytime Minutes/Unlimited Evenings/Weekends Plan = $25
Savings: Monthly Plan Credit 3 Yr = -$15
Savings: Monthly Plan Credit 3 Yr = - $5
Savings: $5 Data Discount = -$5
100 Anytime CDN LD Mins = $5
Savings: 100 Anytime CDN LD Mins = -$5
6 PM Early Eve. Calling Option = $5
Savings: Early Eve. Calling Credit = -$5
Unlimited Incoming Calls Opt. = $10
Savings: Incoming Calls Opt. Credit = -$10
Rogers to Rogers Calling = $5
Savings: Rogers to Rogers 3Yr Bonus = -$5
6 GB Data (non LTE) = $30
VP (Caller ID With Name Display/Voice Mail/2500 Text Messages) = $10
Gov't Regulatory Fee = $2.58
----
$42.58 + HST

Anybody know what they would offer me now? I'm very happy with this price point, and would love to just renew everything and have my credits refreshed. Does retentions still do this? If not, how should I approach the call?

Would like to know this too. I'm on a similar plan with features + credits, except its the $17.50 EPP with 250 bonus mins (400 mins total) and I switched to the value plan with Visual Voicemail and Unlimited SMS/MMS when they offered it at 50% off (like $0.50 more expensive for visual voicemail, unlimited rather than 2500 SMS, and MMS included). Also, they messed up my credits somehow (think they are giving me 15% bundle discount on more than just my base plan) so I'm paying around $35/mo taxes inc. If I can renew at this rate I'd do it in a second.
Rogers Line #1 (iPhone 4 32GB): 450 Anytime Minutes | Evenings&Weekends @ 6 PM | Unlimited Incoming Calls | Unlimited R2R Calls | 100 LD Minutes | 2500 SMS | Caller ID | VM | 6GB Data | TOTAL = $37.50 + GRRF = $40.08 - 15% BCB Discount |
Rogers Line #2 (Blackberry Bold 9700): 450 Anytime Minutes | Evenings&Weekends @ 6 PM | Unlimited Incoming Calls | Unlimited Network Calls + LD | 100 LD Minutes | 2500 SMS | Caller ID | VM | 6GB Data | TOTAL = $42.50 + GRRF = $45.08 - 15% BCB Discount |
