do you do >400mins daytime that they offered that?

Did the rep proactively offer, or did you ask?
No I don't and they just said they could add an additional 200mins for free after providing me with the plan

If I have the phone, but not relying on rogers to subsidise as I pay for it fully from apple, wondering if I get a plan discount.
Again, why would Rogers give you a plan discount for purchasing your phone directly from Apple? All plan discounts are given based on consumers calling in. Discounts are not just given just because you bought your phone outright.
Rogers: $65 10GB | Koodo: $75 16GB

Maybe he's asking as Bell has been doing that (10% off base rate plan when bringing your own hardware and not taking a subsidy).

So anyone know if BCB (15%) discount can be combined with a $10 discount on wireless? I know for the other 3 services the bigger discount kicks in instead but I remember someone telling me that for Wireless you get both BCB + the monthly discount. Can anyone confirm?

Is customer relation and retention different department? When I try canceling through the menu it takes me to relations. How do you reach retention?

Called in yesterday...
on my first call I accepted:

6GB super plan 60
- 10$ monthly discount (for the full 3 years)
=50$ for three years
150 daytime minutes
unlim. evenings and weekends
unlim. text messages
my 10 canada wide
6GB data (should be LTE)

also got half of my HUP fee waived (52 instead of 104) for iPhone 5

very happy with the deal expect I would have liked to also get caller ID, but the rep wanted to charge full price for it so ill try my luck in a couple of months.

My thoughts exactly.

I left this thread a while ago as I was tired of reading of people just trying to squeeze out everything they can from Rogers by calling them constantly asking for things.

I was pretty sure they would get fed up about it and it seems from your post they have.
Well, exploitation of the monthly credits for sure is something that happened. But it is also the mechanism that Rogers used to reward long term customers for their loyalty. For example, I am on my second contract now coming up to my third. On my first, there were no credits. On my second there was. For my third, my expectation was that I would get the same or more credits. But instead-- no new credits, and old credits not renewed which resulted in contract terms that were way worse than as a new customer at other carriers.

Nothing is fair in anything. But it's quite arrogant to ask a customer on their third contract with the company to pay in the ballpark of $20/month more than they would as a new customer of direct competitors. If I ran a business, I wouldn't do that to good long term customers. Would you?

Sure about that? Rogers has historically instead charged $50 more than advertised at retail and the you get to claim a $50 rebate on that, but you eat the tax. If so, then expect instead to pay $230 + tax - $50.
2015 wins: Trip for 2 to NYC with airfare, limo, hotel and insurance ($3700); Maple Leafs tickets($250); 32GB HTC One M9 ($700), Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1($200), Samsung Galaxy Note 5($850), Aukey 2 port fast car charger($23), Fitbit Flex ($120), Blue Piston Bluetooth Speaker ($30). 2016 wins: nada

Nope, they can't do it over the phone. The rep told me my options were through the reservation or in a store next friday

I certainly wouldn't. Great way of putting it in perspective.

I would add, that that there was no expoitation. RATHER, the free reigns approach retentions was given to deal with their customers. We didn't put a gun to anybody's head at CR. THEY offered, and accomodated our requests *(cough)* demands.
PayTM - $70 (24+hours waiting on the damn servers to wake up)
PC OPT: $3953 Ebates: $59.70
