So here we go again,
I finally got something that I was comfortable with, just surprised that the rep was so helpful...

Just signed onto this plan,
200 minutes(includes unlimited texts/picture messeging and evenings and weekends)
unlimited incoming
VM/CID
LD 1000 minutes
$30 6GB data
$44+taxes including the 8% bundle discount.
without bundle discount its $47+taxes.
Originally I was offered 500mb, but then she offered me 6GB for $5, it was a no brainer.......
So really the way they have been offering plans lately, I just felt that she did her best to offer me everything I had previously that I was paying $33+taxes, except I have 6GB instead of 500mb for basically $10 more. I'm still contemplating whether I really want 6GB as this is my secondary line, and I hardly use that much data....
Well, still very happy with the offer whichever way I lean towards.

Got the Iphone5 32GB for $329-$50 rebate + waived activation fees.
Oh buoyy, 3 more yrs with Rogers. I hope its a nice ride................

What is the 8% bundle discount? and does that mean the 200 minute voice plan was for $17.00? how were you able to ask for that?

I have only been offered either a 150 min or 1000 min plan for 27 and 37 respectively.

Because i have 2 more services with Rogers(internet+cable), i was eligible for 8% discount on $27 plan, but i believe she added 50 minutes bonus to make it 200...
Had i gone for 500mb, my bill wud be $39 as originally quoted, but i figured for $5, why wudn't i just get with 6GB

Theplayground, do you have a price breakdown for your plan? Do you have visual voicemail? Looks like you have a similar plan than me except I have less minutes and pay more!

Nope, i dont have Visual Voicemail...but will need to update once my bill comes in to give u a breakdown.

I think she renewed my $20 in credits, and gave me some other add ons for a disciunted price.....

I'm having second thoughts about the plan I was offered and accepted just only last week, if I call to cancel do you think they'll try to offer me something a bit better? I just feel like the 1 gig isn't enough for me.
I was only offered two plans, one at $39 with 200 MB and one at $46 with 1GB, they didn't even want to discuss anything else. I only had one service with Rogers this may be why they did not give a fork.

I still feel thats paying too much. They have brainwashed people into thinking that 6GB/$30 is now a great deal with the way they have done the new plans. I guess its not that bad, but it shud be definately around $50.........
Just my few cents
The OGs are still around lol. Hey Playground and bubble tea

My 2 cents

If you want to double check when your discounts expire go this link once you log on to ur Rogers login. I found this digging up a thread on hofo. It still works.

I'm paying under $60 taxes in

Unltd NA calling and text
6gb data
CID vm

I had credits expire that I acquired during the golden era (2008-2010) I used to pay bit less than this.

my word of advise for the newbies is to read up on the current pages, don't get too greedy (it's no longer 2010) and adjust to times. I am not the best negotiated in the world, but I learned the key to winning any deal is to befriend the other person.

LOL, Pics please. I would like to see them.
Please feel free to search my earlier posts on this thread and old thread, I'm on hofo as well. The first page of this very thread has a tutorial written by me back in 2010 ;)

;) whether you believe me or not is to your own discretion, this is a year 2010 deal. The proof has been posted way back then by me but I was paying like 52-54 taxes in back then.

The whole post is to prove two points that I am unhappy at the fact retention deals gotten sour these days and to post that link so other rfd members are able to view expiry of their discounts

Hey old friend,

Is it me or our days are over lol, as much as others envied my plan, I always got humbled by your plan.

I'm glad to see its still kicking around midst the heat, I lost a credit and soon will be losing another the following year.

Is bell victim still around? I don't why everyone loved to hate on him, in my books he is still an OG
