[Rogers] Rogers Wireless Retention Plans

I like the 54 dollar plan MrMclovin has. I called and decided to threaten to disconnect. I was seriously considering it as we were bypassed the offer of the 3 extra gb to the 60 dollar plan customers back in September. Were one of the leftover 10 gb 60 dollar plan people. AND we have been with Rogers for over 15 years. So I was transferred to someone who decided instead of letting us go that he attached the 3gb per line. Then he said he was going to put something on notes that if we call in and want a new phone that we were to get a good deal..

We DO need two new phones but I am not going to lose the plan that we have currently. Its not attached to contract too so that gives us leeway in negotiations. Im hoping Boxing day will have something but if not we will be buying phones outright. I would NEVER go for the 85 dollar plan that was offered to us at Cosco knowing that a lot of customers are getting that with the 25% discount. Its a wait and see what happens on here for everyone before I go ahead for anything at this point.

Does it include a phone?
No as stated it’s a BYOD plan (bring your own device)

You stated that the $67 plan was BYOD, not the $55 plan.

Got offered $40 for 7gb and $50 for 10 or 12gb, I forget. I took the $40 one... man I wanted the $30 for 4gb that other guy got earlier. Ahh well... damn it's so annoying/tiring dealing with this. This offer came from the ooootp.

This sounds like a great offer to me, is the $40 offer including a time restricted discount (i.E: 25% off a total base cost for 2 years)? Or is the offer indefinite.

It's for 2 years. Both the 40 for 7gb and 50 for 10/12gb (I forgot which it was).

I don't know... I want that dude's 40 for 4gb with 25% off. What the heck am I gonna do with 7gb? That's so much. And they have nothing under that plan. It's that or 0 gb.

Gotcha, I'm still holding my breath I can bring my plan into the sub $50 range without any percentage based discounts that will expire. Currently on the $50 6GB chatr migration BYOD plan + 3GB from September (before taxes). I believe!

You'll be surprised how much freedom it offers me. I came from 4GB loyalty plan a year ago initially and I'm that guy wondering what I can do with the data, now with carplay having waze open all the time, hotspotting with the wife oversea's (I work for myself so I gotta maintain connectivity at all times), etc. It's peace of mind especially if free, but monthly cost will always trump the frills at least for me :)

Yeah I guess so, maybe I'll find a use for it. Otherwise, I agree... lower monthly cost is the priority for me as well.

Just got an email from Rogers 20gb at $115/month. Currently on 10gb $65/month. Is that a deal or just a regular plan? In Ontario.

I got that offer as well it's a special offer for heavy users. I upgraded to the $100/month 15GB plan from the $60/month 10GB and I am not happy about it. I read on here they had a special promo offering and additional 3gbs for free a couple of months back. So I essentially spent an additional $40/month for nothing.... I've hit 13gbs maybe 2/12 months and those bills justified the upgrade.... Wish I did some reading here before going through with it or I never would have.

Weird they are email offers that are worse than I already have.

I am on the $85 a month plan, but they keep pushing 10GB for $100 on me. "Limited time JUST FOR YOU!!"

I can renew and keep the same $85 plan online,
