Rogers Wireless - They won't upgrade my phone!

We currently have 3 phones under one account/bill.
In 2006, I upgraded my phone to SE W810i, which required me to use my "points" and had to pay about $150. At the same time I renewed my contract.

The other 2 phones were not upgraded, and the contracts have expired but have not been renewed. One of those 2 phones are now dead, so I called Rogers and told them I wanted them to upgrade one phone for me but they refused, claiming that I had already used up my "points" from 2006, thus I will need to pay for whatever phone I want.

It seems ridiculous to me that I have already used up my points 2 years ago, and 2 years later I still have not accumulated enough points to do an upgrade. Do I need to threaten them that I will cancel those 2 phones (with expired contracts) before they give me a deal?
